[Voice] Tenant Troubles

So. [Joe sounds particularly cranky and irritated] Me and Roxas we were wondering...

Is it okay for a landlord to just like.... come in your apartment and show somebody else around- while you're still living there?

Who just does that? Let strangers walk around and say nasty things about all our stuff, and how it smells like cats. What if we weren't home, and they took stuff? Or if somebody was sleeping, or naked in the bedroom?

...who do we even go to and complain to about it?

We really need to get serious about moving someplace else. Between this and the rent going way way up for next month, and the heat not coming on till it freezes outside... it's getting crazy.

[Roxas chimes in, sounding nearly as perturbed as his friend.]

They said it was an inspection, but we've been here a couple of years now and I don't think we've ever had one of those. Except when we moved in, maybe.

We've never had a problem here, but they were acting like we're bad renters. But we're fine, we always have been.

...and it does not smell like cats. Xact and Blue are really good and we clean up after them!

But you have paystubs, now, and a background, right? So maybe moving somewhere new will be a lot easier. I have to wonder if the landlady got a better offer from one of her strips, or something... Money can make people really weird.

It sounds like all the jobs here are different from what I'm used to, too, so I can't give any good advice on that, either. [Which he sounds sorry for.] Will it be too difficult to find someone who meets those requirements, though? I'm sure a lot of people rent places. But at this rate...

My butler once told me that humans are very bad at accepting things... but I don't know how to fix that; I've never known how to fix that. I don't want to say it's futile, because I want you and everyone to keep trying, but I can't offer anything, either.

Oh, he meant... He meant human people in general, he could have said 'everyone' and it would have meant the same thing. He knows more about things like that than I do. But, yes, he stays with me and helps me around the house and other things. He's a good man, so I think he'd have some advice in this situation. I'm sorry he's not here...

It's true. I'm so glad he's stayed with me for so long. He's such a big help! Kind of a rigid man, but... It's definitely worth what he does for me.

I wish now that he'd prepared me for being without him, but I guess he thought he wouldn't need to. Well, sink or swim, as they say!

Not really... There's not much that I did, at home, so I haven't figured out something I'd do well at.

I have to look hard for something I'd be good at since I wear a blindfold. I couldn't be, say, a librarian, or a cook, or a person who files things... I had some suggestions about playing piano, since I can do that, but I'm not sure how I'd get into it. If smaller jobs can lead to bigger jobs, though, that's encouraging.
seclusion: (you have got the voice,my dear.)

Because it's best, [is Emil's breezy answer to that, but pianos are definitely more important right now.] Purgatory sounds like a nice name for a place. Do you think something like that could work out?

—Oh no, look... You helped me a lot more than I was able to help you. I shouldn't have let that happen.

I'm Emil. I've never really played for an audience before, just myself and Sebastian, but I know I'm not bad.

Maybe that's what caused all the confusion... I don't know any Ciel, but a couple of people were really surprised at me for mentioning my butler, when I first got here. It was weird!

[Sigh! He's glad that misunderstanding's out of the way, now, at least. Maybe Sebastian is just a crazy robot standard model or something. Who knows.]

It probably used to be hard, but it's not now - just because I've practiced for a long time. I spend a lot of time doing it.
seclusion: (hi guys.)

[Hmmm. It wouldn't be fair to pass judgment on snottiness without seeing it himself. So,] DJ, that's, um - is it an instrument, too? You play other peoples' compositions?
