[ Well being without a job again kinda sucks. Ella's got the NV on as well, jotting things down on a separate sheet of paper. ]

So... I haven't really been looking at the newsfeed lately, but - being that I'm currently jobless and Meg is the only breadwinner at the moment, I really need to find some work. Any suggestions, or ope-

[ She breaks off as she hears someone at the door, and immediately narrows her eyes. ]

Who are you, and how did you get in here?

Ha ha, 'hilarious', Ella. I'm taking a bath.

[ Ella picks up a familiar looking vase.]

[ Well that's one command she's glad slipped through her interruptions, turning her attention to the stairs, whistling sharply. ]

Kyra! An Intruder!

NO!

[ This statement is followed by the sound of Ella's pet wolf hurtling down the stairs with a snarl, and then Hattie's voice screaming something as the wolf chases her out. Tensely, Ella walks over to peer outside, before returning to her NV. ]

And apparently I now need a locksmith.

[ Shrieking. And more shrieking. Hattie stumbles across the porch, down the stairs, then (in the most cliche move ever) falls over upon reaching flat land. She quickly slips off one shoe to defend herself, but the door has already closed.]

Ella??

... ELLA!!!

[She throws her shoe at the door in a fit of rage. Take THAT, Door!]

[ Once Kyra has chased Hattie off the porch, she sits at the top of the steps, snarling at the blonde. SNARL. SNAAAAAAARL. Until Ella opens the door at the sound of the shoe hitting it.

Oh it must have been a gag! Or not because she ushers Kyra inside, shoots a dark look at Hattie, and promptly shuts the door again. With the click of a latch to boot. ]

[Eponine turns up outside the house relatively quickly, and obviously spots Hattie]

Madame... you are sure you wish me to break in? I will not be in trouble?

[She's only just got out of jail. If you get her put back in, Hattie, she will NOT be happy.]

[Hattie doesn't look any cleaner, and looks more annoyed- but upon seeing Eponine, she does her best to look as refined as possible.

It's extremely difficult. Also, better you than her!]

Of course I do! I live here, so you won't get into trouble! ... probably I left my keys inside, so I can't give you those. Now, there are a couple of things you need to know, so pay attention.

[She still looks better dressed than Eponine, and the girl clasps her arms around her waist, ashamed of her tattered dress - but she lent her one good one to Marius.]

We have a couple of openings in the restaurant, or if you'd prefer to work on the inn side of things, we're always hiring for cleaning staff. Oh! And one front desk job.

[There is a shout outside, and a knock on the door. Eponine is outside, under instructions from Hattie to steal some keys. And Eponine is doing her best to get inside.
Though she is not crying, Eponine wears a permanently upset look - the marks of a hard life, but hopefully now it'll work to convince Ella that Hattie has been awful to Eponine.]

Madame? Madame, you will help me? Please help me!

[Eponine hates begging, but she keeps her thoughts firmly fixed on that dress that Hattie has promised her.]

[ Ohh, you mean the dresses Ella got rid of days ago? Those dresses? Well Eponine doesn't know that this will be a wasted effort, so... Ella is still irritated when she reaches the door, and the annoyed expression doesn't go away when she sees Eponine. Much. ]

[Eponine recoils immediately. Ella's tone and her disapproving face immediately remind Eponine of the more well to do commeners in France who chased her away from their doorsteps. Though not scared, she wants to keep well out of hitting range. Just in case. Her haggard look increases as Ella opens the door and Eponine bwnds almost double, clutching her ribs.]

a penny, Madame? Spare a poor girl a penny. I would not beg, only I cannot work.

[Eponine tries her best to remember what it was like in Paris when she was hungry and cold, despairing over Marius, and she tries ro translate that emption to her face.]

madame, please! I would work, honest I would, only I have been hurt by your sister and will displease the customers now, Madame. Just a penny. A crust of bread. Please, Madame.

[She hates it. Still thinking of the dress though!]

[Then he sits up straighter in his chair and leans forward.]

Getting rid of unwanted intruders, Larry, nothing to worry about. [ Though a lot of people seem to know this Hattie person. Insisting she was Ella's sister was insulting though. Ella knew she didn't have any sisters. ]
