[Seras looks quite muted today, without her usual smile and chipper air.]

This is just, ah, a quick notice.

For anyone who had fencing lessons with, or was simply a friend of Sir Integra Helsing. I'm afraid she has returned home.

So has Alucard, to any who knew him.

[A moment of fidgeting and she ends the feed.]

[Seras opens the door soon after Nill rings the bell. She'd been waiting in the hallway for her to arrive.]

Hi Nill.

[reassures]

Hello Seras.

[Nill smiles slightly, and reaches a hand out to Seras. Come on, let's get out of here.]

[bloodthirsts]

[Seras takes it lightly, nodding at the unspoken words. She shuts the door behind her and locks it, pocketing the key.] How are you?

[reassures]

Better.

[Not "good"-- she rarely felt like she was doing good, but she was better than she was before, at least, and that... had to mean something, right? Right.

She tugs Seras along though, and heads down the street, to nowhere in particular. They could figure out where they were going as it came to them.]

[bloodthirsts]

I understand. [Seras says quietly. She walks alongside Nill, looking out ahead of them.] What have you been up to?

[It's good just to talk.]

[reassures]

[She's glad Seras understands, because that gives her a lot less to worry about trying to explain. Not that Seras doesn't know to begin with, but she's so used to avoiding these things now that the small hint of relief comes naturally.]

Work. Looking after Yosuke.

What about you?

[bloodthirsts]

Is he doing better? [She asks, concerned. Thinking how he'd answered her post to small surprise, after the fear he'd seemed to have of her before.] Work too, there's always things to do, crime doesn't stop. And a new vampire girl arrived recently, I've been helping her settle in.

[reassures]

A little. It's hard to say.

[Nill is pretty sure he'd never really be the way he was before the hunt, but he was getting better. Better in the same way she was, at any rate, which wasn't much... but it was more than nothing.]

Is she the same kind of vampire as you? It seems like there are a lot of different types.

[bloodthirsts]

I'll see him soon. We had a little falling out but... I think it's okay now.

[She shakes her head.]

She's very different. In her world vampires are born, not made. I never thought that was possible.

[reassures]

[She catches a brief flicker of that - of what Yosuke said to Seras - and Nill frowns, though she says nothing.]

Do you get along well with her?

[bloodthirsts]

She's a nice girl. Teenager, though I'm not sure how old that actually makes her. It seemed rude to just ask, she acts young though, like any teenager.

[Most teenagers anyway.] I took her some blood when she first arrived.

[reassures]

[A teenage vampire...]

That was nice of you.

[bloodthirsts]

It's nice for me not to be considered a monster here, it should be the same for other vampires.

[And just a little, duty had been there, to see that Layla wasn't dangerous, that she was a good vampire and not...

Seras looks up at the sky as they walk.]

My Master said... we win, at home. I hope that means they'll all be okay back there.

[reassures]

...What does that mean for them?

[Nill never felt quite right about asking the others from NG what their worlds were like... the ones she didn't know about, anyway. Because of that, she didn't know much about Seras's world at all.]

[bloodthirsts]

I suppose... Miss Integra will keep leading Hellsing, as long as she lives. [She was mortal, that was hard to remember, that she would age over the years and Seras, and Alucard, wouldn't. Seras hadn't lived long enough in this state to truly understand that part of it.]

You see there was um, a war going on. Well an invasion of my country, by evil vampires. [Nazi, Nazi vampires, like something out of a bad pulp fiction novel. The smug fat Major, the doctor, that weird cat boy...] And then by the Vatican, you know, England's a Protestant country and in my world the Vatican never seemed to let that go. Lot of heretics they call us.

[reassures]

[...Those are some strange images in your head there, Seras. Nill doesn't understand half of what you're saying, either.]

They sound like-- [A little fumble, it's always difficult for Nill to use bad names for people.] --Jerks.

[bloodthirsts]

Jerks. [Seras smiles at that.] Yes, the worst kind. They were just... well, it's complicated, but we beat them, I know we do.

[She believes it anyway, Master wouldn't lie about that.] I just wish I could fight too...

[reassures]

I'm glad you do.

[If Seras believes it, Nill believes it. At least as far as this goes.]

You might be able to.

[She doesn't really believe that, but she can say she does easily enough.]

[bloodthirsts]

[She needs to believe it, or she might drive herself batty from worry and wondering why her Master would lie.]

It'd be nice to just go out and punch the bad in the face sometimes.

[Seras smiles a bit, weak joke.]

[reassures]

I'd like to do that sometimes too.

[Nill actually smiles a little.]

[bloodthirsts]

Pretty satisyfying. [Her smile grows bigger for a moment.]

Well... I do what I can within the laws here, fighting Darkness monsters takes the edge off.
