Jeez, between the people from that church asking for donations every day, recruiting officers for AGI and SERO, and idiots trying to threaten me to join a high school or else, I haven't had a moment to myself. No means no, people, sheesh.

Running a strictly neutral business isn't as easy as I thought. If this keeps up, I might have to hire some big guys to keep them out of my hair. I won't risk a broken nail over people like that.

But that's a topic for another day. What I really want to know is this: how many of you have been to this "hot yoga" place I saw in the mall? It sounds interesting.

[Jubilee just cocks her head to the side and then shrugs.

... And immediately pokes herself with the needle.] Crap! [She sticks her finger in her mouth.]

I don't think so. Ah well, to each their own?

Exactly. I think anything other than a grl's natural hair color most likely won't look good on her. The body is our greatest ally.

Mmmm. See, I'd totally agree with you, and one of my fave people totally rocks the white hair she's got, but, a little chemical enhancement now and again? Totally not a big deal.

[Shrugs.]

But I've been dying my hair since I was like, twelve so I might be biased.

And your hair doesn't look damaged at all. What shampoo brand do you use?

[ The most dramatic thing she did at twelve to her hair was cut it off during a battle with Sakura... lmao ]

Well, back home I had this really snazzy brand that my former teacher got me hooked to. But...

[She runs a quick search and then sends links to her shampoo and conditioner]

Seriously? Even if you can't get the shampoo? Get the conditioner. That stuff lives up to it's name and is joy and happiness in a bottle. Also, I'm sincerely always ruthless with getting a hair cut every 6-8 weeks.

[ Ino nods, noting the brands. ]

I'll look into it. It couldn't hurt to splurge a little on my hair.

Splurging on make up and stuff is the way to go, if you can.

I haven't been able to find all my brands, but I've found some good replacements.

[Paaaause.]

Cosmetics shopping trip?

I'm free this afternoon. I've been running low on cover-up.

[Jubilee mutes the conversation for a moment, then comes back and nods, turning the microphone on again.]

Wanna meet somewhere? Mall or Sector 3?

What's in Sector 3?

Sector 3 is as about as high end as this place gets. But, the Mall's got better selection and you can get some nice stuff, for less.

I can be at the mall in about twenty?

Oh. [ Huh. She'd have to check it out. ]

Great, I'll meet you there.

I'll meet you there. I'll be at the center food court. I totally need some food.

[That lets her off the line.

Twenty minutes later, she's got waffle fries and a drink. Her cane is neon pink, even though, she's wearing a pair of jeans and a faded black t-shirt that says "Xavier's School for the Gifted." And her hair is up in a pair of pigtails - just because. She's even got huge earrings that say "Jubilee" on them. ~~oh canon~~ She spies Ino and raises the cane. No on can miss it.]

[ Ino waves and hurries over, her long ponytail trailing behind her. Jubilee certainly looked ... well, it wasn't the weirdest combination of clothing she had seen in this city, and it wasn't as blinding as green spandex, so she was fine with it. For now, anyway. She would help Jubilee find some clothes to match that neon pink cane of hers. ]

It looks a little better in person. [ She giggles, a hand on her hip. Her eyes pass over the waffle fries briefly. ]

Ready to go?

[Jubilee laughs and uses the cane to push herself up. She tosses the leftover fries and picks up her drink.]

My Dad used to tease me, that I never met a color I didn't like. He's right, but even I know not to combine some things. Doesn't mean I don't try.

[She points.]

My fave store is that way. You have a place you wanna go?

There's a boutique here that has clothes that are almost as good as the ones I had back home. Let's try it after yours.

[Jubilee finds the phrasing interesting. Still, she turns for her favorite makeup store. It's not Sephora, MAC or even close to Chanel, but... hey, she didn't always need the most expensive stuff.]

Nothing can compare to my closet back home. [ It wasn't overly glamorous but she liked it. It wasn't the same here. These clothes, while real, didn't seem ... well, it was difficult to explain even to herself. It just wasn't the same.

She follows Jubilee, keeping pace with her. ] So how long have you been here?

I know the feeling.

[She misses Warren's credit cards. They made life easier.]

Over two and a half years. It feels a lot longer. You?

A little over a month. It feels like a lot longer, too. [ She isn't too pleased with how long she's been here. And especially since Shikamaru left without her. ]

Wow, I missed the last round huh? That sucks.

[Jubilee starts looking through all the make up.]

That's what I get for not being careful in the Darkness. Lessons and all that.

[Pick up eye palette.]

This would look awesome on you.

Huh? Last round? [ She gives Jubilee a confused look, then considers the eye palette with a nod. ]

Hm. It's a good color, but I don't know if I have any shirts that could complement it.

Last round of newcomers that came in. I was busy.

[Being almost dead.]

Well, we're at a mall. You should get it. And get a funky lipstick to go with it.

I didn't know we came in rounds. [ ... She hadn't really considered it, actually. Why she hadn't seen anybody 'new' pop up on the network recently.

She shakes her head at the lipstick comment. ] I don't put on lipstick. Lip gloss, sure, but lipstick leaves stains.

[ She giggles. ] But you're right. Maybe I'll find a good shirt here.

For a while, it was every month. The last year or so it's been every other month. A nice schedule, but too predictable for my taste.

[Made Newcomers way too easy to pick off.]

You don't wear lipstick? Huh. That's alright. We'll find you a funky lip gloss.

[Grin.]

There's a little boutique here, or was a couple of months ago, that had some nice, funky clothes. It'd be a great place to start.
