To make it more difficult. You're being a bully Loki - poking at someone with a power they cannot control for your amusement. That isn't acceptable.

And no, you aren't. You are harming his friend, his houseguest, putting his safety and his home at risk. He's being a good host.

[Magneto walks in, sitting down beside Loki, hands resting on his knees.]

How has the rest of the evening gone?

Devastating. [Said with all the teenage conviction that things will never be okay because people are disappointed in him. Which means they expected better of him in the first place. Which means ... a lot.]

[He reaches over to put his arm around Loki's shoulders. They do expect better. But Magneto knows what it is to have to start over, to try to find a better path than the past, and he knows what it is to fail.]
