Unfortunately, no one has quite figured that out yet. The Core decides who comes and who goes and when. There have been attempts to investigate the Core, but they have been more harmful than helpful.

Is there any compilation of information from those investigations? Someone I could talk to?

What little has been revealed to the public is online through the NV network. Anything more than that, you'll have to get in with SERO, something I personally would not recommend.

Your first guess was correct. The slavers would be AGI. I would recommend working for neither, though unfortunately they have quite a hand in city affairs.

Yeah, I'm more of an independent contractor these days. Someone just told me that a friend of mine is here and if I know him, he'll have a way to help me get what I need.
