Video: Fifth Trick

[doeswhathewants]

[The video kicks on and Loki is sitting cross legged on a roof, view of buildings in the background behind him, the NV is propped up so the view is at an angle. The hood of his zip front sweatshirt pulled over his face, casting a shadow. Green eyes fairly glow from under the shade of that hood. He's smiling and it's just a bit sharp, a bit smug as he carefully plucks up and eats a blue M&M from a bowl of entirely blue M&M's, a can of Redbull held loosely in his right hand.]

Blizzard.

Rather inconvenient. [The smile grows more sly.] For some people, anyway.

For others, well, perhaps it is better that some of us are on the straight and narrow. [A grinning pause] Mostly.

[He pops another blue M&M into his mouth, chewing silently while he considers]

Boring, boring, boring. The walls are closing in. You know what happens then? Some real fun. Not yet, but soon. You'll know when it starts.

[Edgeworth watches this process with an eyebrow cocked and wonders if he's supposed to be impressed.]

...Quite. Is that all?

[Half shrug]

Try drinking something.

[ergomaniac]

[He shakes his head, but then hesitates when he lifts his cup of tea. His nose wrinkles - and then he frowns and sets it down hard.]

That was perfectly good pu-erh!

[doeswhathewants]

You wanted proof.

[Snaps his fingers and leans back against the wall behind him.] And I had your permission so it was quite legal.

[ergomaniac]

You -

[A perfectly good cup of tea. Low, Loki. Very low.]

Hmph. Regardless, that does not prove godhood!

[doeswhathewants]

Hope you don't need to shower. Or drink anything aside mead.

[Crosses his arms and looks a tick petulant.]

[ergomaniac]

[He scowls and stumps over to his faucet and turns it on. Then:]

Undo that.

[doeswhathewants]

I think you need to experience the displeasure of a god for a while.

[Smiles innocently.]

[ergomaniac]

By which you mean a common child with an unusual power.

[doeswhathewants]

I will be sure to put you on the list for next city-wide prank.

[Steeples his fingers, eyes narrowing] I'm sure you will enjoy it.

[ergomaniac]

Rest assured, I will instead put a stop to it before you can do any damage. I've no desire to take on more work.

[doeswhathewants]

How do you intend to do that?

[ergomaniac]

It quite depends upon what your "prank" will be.

[doeswhathewants]

That remains to be soon. I do not intend to spoil it.

[ergomaniac]

Well, I do.

It will be quite interesting to watch you try, at least.

Glad to be of interest to you. Now restore my water.

I would.

[Gives him a faux sympathetic look] But you forgot to say please.

Oh, I assure you - it was a conscious decision on my part not to say it. Now restore the water.

Restore it or I shall not shrink from pressing charges.

[doeswhathewants]

You cannot press charges, I warned you and you accepted. That is a contract.

Mr. Loki, I am an attorney. Do not attempt to tell me what is or is not a contract.

[doeswhathewants]

And I am a god. I know when someone has made a contract with me. I asked, you agreed.

Deal. Done.

If it had been in writing, it would have been a contract - if, and only if, illegal activity had not been involved. When the fulfillment of a contract involves the breaking of a law, the contract is not valid.
