Video: Fifth Trick

[The video kicks on and Loki is sitting cross legged on a roof, view of buildings in the background behind him, the NV is propped up so the view is at an angle. The hood of his zip front sweatshirt pulled over his face, casting a shadow. Green eyes fairly glow from under the shade of that hood. He's smiling and it's just a bit sharp, a bit smug as he carefully plucks up and eats a blue M&M from a bowl of entirely blue M&M's, a can of Redbull held loosely in his right hand.]

Blizzard.

Rather inconvenient. [The smile grows more sly.] For some people, anyway.

For others, well, perhaps it is better that some of us are on the straight and narrow. [A grinning pause] Mostly.

[He pops another blue M&M into his mouth, chewing silently while he considers]

Boring, boring, boring. The walls are closing in. You know what happens then? Some real fun. Not yet, but soon. You'll know when it starts.

I think we're both aware of what it was. [Meaning: it was totally sarcasm and the both of them know it.]

I don't have fits of woe. [Not over stuff like this, at least. Not that he'd be inclined to find it funny, regardless.]

Were we? I forget. [He might just be teasing you a bit.]

No, no, you seem too serious for that. [Pauses] Do you know what a raptor is?

Of course you do. [That dryness again. He somehow winds up talking to people like you all the time; he gets used to that talk.]

I'm aware of what a raptor is. What's that got to do with anything?

Curiosity. Some people here don't know, how odd, don't you think?

[Tips his head] I'm considering a pack of them. In ice, of course, nothing too lethal.

Or perhaps a t-rex.

Considering the variety of worlds represented here? No.

[Eyebrow ticks up marginally.] Not lethal at all would be better. [Though notably, he's not saying to not make them.]

[Cheshire grin] Not going to talk me out of it? Well, that does change your ranking from 'stick in the mud' to fun.

Say, want to have a mounted velociraptor laser tag battle?

[This face, for just a moment. It's not one that slips through that often. Someone said that he's fun? Mounted velociraptor laser tag? What the hell?]

... Why would I do something like that?

What else would you be doing? [Also did he not hear the part about ice raptors? Seriously.]

Certainly nothing that ridiculous. [The ice raptors are fine. Honestly, if the House couldn't make them, he'd be able to. But the laser tag thing is . . . weird. He's being asked to play. This does not happen.]

Hardly ridiculous. Have you no desire for fun? I suppose we could add an element of danger to it, somehow, but the claws of the ice raptors ought to make up for that. [Taps his finger to his chin, considering.]

Not particularly. [He was given a book on how to have fun for Christmas. Seriously. That says something, and he's sure something like this would be in there. Loki is unfortunately not one of the few people who would be able to shove him into velociraptor laser tag.]

Tch. We shall change that. Unless you're afraid. I can understand that, not everyone can handle animated ice monsters.

[He resists the urge to roll his eyes.] Do you honestly think that pitiful attempt at taunting me is going to work? I have no issue with animated ice monsters.

[His is cooler because it's a dragon. So there.]

It was worth a try. Besides, you ought to at least try the game before you decide you dislike it. Only sporting.
