This weekend is Father's Day, isn't it?

Kurt's dad is amazing. He's the type of father everyone wishes they had. He's strong and caring but he won't let you get away with being an idiot either. He really centers everyone around him and guides them into remembering what's really important. He and Kurt have a relationship that really blows me away every time I see them together. They've accomplished something amazing together.



(I'm sorry if talking about him makes you upset, Kurt. We'll do something to celebrate together okay?)



It's weird because I should be missing my own father back home but right now I can't stop thinking about someone a lot of us have lost recently. I feel like I'd give anything if I could just give him a corny tie or printed coffee mug. Even if he really wasn't my dad. He took care of me.

I miss him.


I think it's good to remember people though. If you have your father or father-figure still here with you, let's celebrate him. If yours is back home or has passed away, let's remember him. And for those of you who are dads or dad-like, Happy Father's Day.

[Blaine smiles and sighs as he settles in with his arm around Kurt.] Yes. [He chuckles a bit, the sound of it a release] Good.

You'll need to warn everyone of how OCD and controlling I am.

[He makes the joke and his stomach flips a second after. Great, just remind Blaine of all the reasons he left in the first place, why don't you. Genius.]

[Blaine just makes a pleased sound. He doesn't seem reminded of bad memories. He just seems to find it cute.] That's why I'm going to stress to Tim that we need our own space.

[showbizpanache]

[Kurt clutches Blaine's shirt and presses his cheek against his chest, sniffling a bit. He's quiet for a while.]

I won't be as bad this time. I promise.

[mediumdrip]

I promise too. [Blaine says softly. He rubs Kurt's back lightly.]

[showbizpanache]

Mm. [He burrows closer.] I might fall asleep on you.

[mediumdrip]

I'm really fine with that. We both need some sleep.

[showbizpanache]

Mmmm...

[Yeah he's not budging Blaine hope you didn't have anywhere to go for a while. :| He snuggles close like a sleepy kitten, and it seems as if he's fallen asleep for a while...]

[Then all of a sudden, sleepily:] Mr. Creed offered me a promotion.

[At first Blaine isn't sure if it's that Kurt is sleep talking or serious, so he turns his head a bit to look at his boyfriend.] Oh? That's great.

[showbizpanache]

Mmhm. As assistant director for the Newcomer Community Center.

[It's a huge fucking deal but the way he's mumbling about it he might as well be talking about the weather.]

[mediumdrip]

Kurt-- That's amazing. Did you take it? [He sounds happy, but limits his excitement to let Kurt relax against him.

[showbizpanache]

No. Not yet.

[mediumdrip]

What's stopping you?

[showbizpanache]

Nothing's stopping me. [He shifts a little on top of Blaine.] I just need a little time to think, that's all.

[mediumdrip]

[Blaine's body shifts to give Kurt room, his legs spread while Kurt settles against him.]

What do you need to think about?

[showbizpanache]

[Sigh.] I'm just... It's not that I don't think I can handle the responsibility. I just...

I guess it's selfish, but I don't want to give things up. Working at Felton, for instance, or with Mercy. And... [He trails off, smooshing his face against Blaine's chest.

[mediumdrip]

That makes sense. I don't want to give up singing, even though I really should...

[showbizpanache]

Right. And...

[He swallows dryly.] I'm...afraid. I don't want to put more stress on myself, since--since I know how I get when I'm stressed, and now that we're going to be living together again, I just... [He looks up at Blaine.]

What if I lash out? Or--or can't spend enough time with you? I can't risk us falling apart again, Blaine. My heart can't take it.

[mediumdrip]

We'll communicate this time. It will be better.

[showbizpanache]

I don't know. I don't want anything else to come between us. I won't let it.

But... [Sigh.] I'd be lying if I said I didn't want this.

[mediumdrip]

I want you to have all of the things you want.

[showbizpanache]

I know. Thank you. I'm just... I don't know.

[He huffs, pouting, and lies against Blaine quietly for a while. Minutes pass until he seems to abruptly come to his decision, crawling off of Blaine and sitting up on his legs.]

Okay. I'll take it, but--but if at any moment it comes between you and I, I'll quit. I swear it. I'll walk right out. Okay?

[mediumdrip]

[Blaine sits up, supporting his body on his arm behind him.] It won't. We won't let it.

[showbizpanache]

I know. But I'm promising anyway. [He wrings his hands together.] Okay?

[mediumdrip]

Okay. I promise too, like I said. This is going to be a partnership, okay? We both have to do our parts.
