Contact Twenty Eight [ Video ] Morning.
[Raul actually found himself not minding the whole time line issue. There was something to be said for having the same thing to do every day, and a routine to follow through. He's at the Community Center this time, though.]
As we all know, it is once again February 2nd, 2012. At this point, we can clearly see that things are not going well. Yes, Newcomers have been able to fix some problems, but more problems have also been caused because of us.
We need to fix this. I know there are many of you out there who have been theorizing on ways to help fix the Core. It's time to get together and figure things out. I have contacted the Governor Townshed, and he has agreed to meet with a small group of Newcomers, so we can explain the situation to him.
[Pauses.] I, personally, do not believe we should help the Port for free. But I am asking for others to aid me in explaining to the governor what we need to do. And I can say now, those among us who have been trying to figure out a way to fix the Core? You will be needed, and soon.
If those who wish to help could start grouping at the Newcomer Community Center, we'll be going to the Governor's office before sirens.

However, I am concerned by his entirely too pointed ambition, the fact that he is new and may not understand nor care about the NPP's concerns, and well, honestly, that he is very, very rude and prone to outbursts. Then again, if he is contrite in his desire to change his place and we can determine he is trustworthy, he would probably be the easiest to support.
There are other members of the board we could consider. The only one I am that well acquainted with is Dr. Michael Xavier, but he is someone people in the city may find threatening considering he has made a point to sort of build a stronghold in the city.
[He pauses, fussing a little with his fancy fountain pen.]
Madam Re-l is someone we all have a lot of faith in, who has done a lot of good in both communities, but we need her in the police force, surely, and she will continue to be the target of terrorism, bringing an element of uncertainty to the position we can't really afford.
A great many people are too young, or too reckless, or have had trouble with the law in the past, or might have trouble being tactful.
Perhaps.... Monsieur Bonnefoy? Or his son, though I've not met him. I would also like Madam Rochelle for the job, but only because I know her personally to be tough and fair. She has no political experience.
[private]
I don't know Mr. Bonnefoy's son, I would be too concerned with Rochelle's time with the news and how it might seem to other people... and really, we need more Newcomers in the news then we do in politics. Doctor Xavier... after his incident, I don't know if he would be the best choice. There is also his association with these... god like people, and I don't see that being a good thing.
...I admit, in the past my choice would have been Re-l. But with Edgeworth's return, their previous... well. Considering she has made it a point to rub elbows with some less then savory people in the city... [Shakes his head.]
Perhaps we can find someone to groom for the position. I don't particularly like any of the choices we have right now. But if we could take someone and mold them into what we want? That might be doable.

[Franz smiles, however.]
There... could be one other solution. If what we want is someone familiar with the party, someone diplomatic, level-headed and who knows the workings of the city well, and who will dedicate himself to the task of trying to make things work.

[Amused.] And who would that be?

[Franz just smiles, nervous but trying not to let it show.]

...Yes. [Clears throat, patting him awkwardly on the back.]

...We have come a long way together, I have come to rely on you as much as any AutoReiv. [Nods.]

[Franz shakes his head.] I'll need you to act as my adviser at times with this, I think. I don't even know where to begin, and won't they think I'm rather young...?

[Nods.] You are a citizen in good standing in the port. You are a legal adult, and better yet, you would have the full backing of the NPP on your side, versus other candidates who may apply. I'm sure we can find a good campaign manager.

The thing is, I really should be looking for a campaign manager... [He says it sheepishly, rubbing the back of his neck.] Maybe we can find someone to make you a robot?
