[Raul actually found himself not minding the whole time line issue. There was something to be said for having the same thing to do every day, and a routine to follow through. He's at the Community Center this time, though.]

As we all know, it is once again February 2nd, 2012. At this point, we can clearly see that things are not going well. Yes, Newcomers have been able to fix some problems, but more problems have also been caused because of us.

We need to fix this. I know there are many of you out there who have been theorizing on ways to help fix the Core. It's time to get together and figure things out. I have contacted the Governor Townshed, and he has agreed to meet with a small group of Newcomers, so we can explain the situation to him.

[Pauses.] I, personally, do not believe we should help the Port for free. But I am asking for others to aid me in explaining to the governor what we need to do. And I can say now, those among us who have been trying to figure out a way to fix the Core? You will be needed, and soon.

If those who wish to help could start grouping at the Newcomer Community Center, we'll be going to the Governor's office before sirens.

It may take some time, but it would be the best out of everyone else. And we do want someone we can talk to without their own ego getting in the way of what the right thing to do is.

[Amused.] And who would that be?

I'm not sure I should tell you. It could put you out of an adviser.

[Franz just smiles, nervous but trying not to let it show.]

[Thinks for a moment.] You may be surprised to hear this, but you have always been on the list. I am just unsure as to what I would do without you around. A selfish reason, really, but one I need to consider.

[discretion]

[Franz quickly turns a delighted pink hue, grinning.] Really? Oh Raul! [And you are getting a sudden and happy hug.]

...Yes. [Clears throat, patting him awkwardly on the back.]

[Franz quickly detaches, sensing his boss's discomfort. He's beaming, his supernatural glow almost sparkling.] Sorry... I'm just very honored that you think so highly at me.

[Hey, it wasn't BAD. Just. Not what he's used to. At all. It's odd for any Citizen to show that much emotion.]

...We have come a long way together, I have come to rely on you as much as any AutoReiv. [Nods.]

I guess AutoReivs don't come with that same risk of moving on to other jobs.

[Franz shakes his head.] I'll need you to act as my adviser at times with this, I think. I don't even know where to begin, and won't they think I'm rather young...?

No, they do not. And even if they did, we would just reprogram them.

[Nods.] You are a citizen in good standing in the port. You are a legal adult, and better yet, you would have the full backing of the NPP on your side, versus other candidates who may apply. I'm sure we can find a good campaign manager.

[discretion]

Right! I'm sure we can find someone with the right skills amidst the newcomers. We're a talented bunch.

I suppose you will need to step up your search for a replacement. [No, he does not like this.]

[discretion]

Right.

The thing is, I really should be looking for a campaign manager... [He says it sheepishly, rubbing the back of his neck.] Maybe we can find someone to make you a robot?

Perhaps, we could always see on that. [Frowns.] I'll start looking for one. We'll work together on this.
