With so many ill and suffering, I would like to offer my help.

[After all, she can't achieve her final goal if an illness wipes everyone out.]

I have not been affected by this sickness and can bring medicine to those who are unable to get it for themselves.

[She actually had to run a search in order to understand what the usual procedure would be for Users with these ailments.]

We're actually looking for people to go with the EMTs and help out... that, or take away the dead, so they can't spread it anywhere else.

What sort of help do the EMTs need?

[She pauses for a moment. The term people use around here for Users is 'human', she has to remind herself.]

I am not human, so I am unfamiliar with medical practices, but if the information is available in a computer I can access it quickly and familiarize myself with it until I am needed.

Well, they... go around and check people out. Take their blood pressure, make sure they're not dying, that sort of thing. There's not much they can do, but they make the person comfortable, or they transport them to a hospital.

You could probably go with them, if you can learn all of that stuff as quick as you say!

I learn things the fastest through downloading the material. I believe I could help with transporting people, though. I am able to fly.

Oh, wow! Really? I've always wanted to be able to fly. That should be a really big help.

It does help me move much more quickly through the city. Riding in those automobiles seems like a tremendous inconvenience at certain times of the day.

It can be, I guess! Not all the time. I'd prefer something between me and the monsters any time at night. [Laughs.]

[She smiles a little at that.]

I have found that far less of them are able to fly than those who walk.

There's a few that can fly. I've seen them... but things start to disintegrate in the darkness. You never know if something will happen to your wings.

Wings? I do not need those to fly.

What do you fly with?

My own power. I have never given how it works much thought. I am able to fly around freely and do so.

That's... cool. No wings, or jet packs, or... anything like that.

[It was a temperature, but yet... Daemon pauses, and runs a little search.]

Ah, do you mean that in the context that something is good or interesting?

That's kind of you, Daemon.

[She pauses to let out a large sneeze.]

I suppose it would be kind of odd for a virus to get a virus, huh? [She smiles.]

Oh, Hinamori. You are unwell!

[She sounds sincerely distressed about this. She likes Hinamori, and she generally wants people to be happy.]

Not very, it's alright. There are a lot of others worse off than me.

You are resting, I hope?

I am. It's hard to rest knowing my friends are ill, but I try.

Have you not been affected by the plague at all? That's very good to hear, if true. It's good to know some are immune to this illness and able to keep working on. It seems the city has nearly ground to a halt outside with so many afflicted.

I am pleased to say that I have not been affected at all by the plague.

That's really good to hear. I don't think I've asked—do you have a job here in Siren's Port, or what do you do nowadays?

I was recently hired at a telecommunications company.

How do you like that?

I am hoping to get promoted soon. The work is a little dull for my tastes.

That would be nice. I hope you get the promotion.
