[Pearl Fey’s emotions don’t always show easily, but when they do, they’re usually related to ships Maya Fey. And while there are exceptions, today’s not one of them. The sullen, sad look that crosses her face today is definitely caused by circumstances involving her favorite cousin - as well as their roommate, Mr. Armando.

Anyway, she’s sitting on a bench in what looks like a hospital corridor. That’s already bad news, isn’t it? She frowns very deeply (pretzels drooping) and shakes her head sadly at the camera.]

Mystic Maya and Mr. Armando became very sick yesterday. We got them to the doctors safely, but...

[After a moment’s pause, she shakes her head fiercely from side to side!] I’m going to do my best to help the doctors make sure they’re comfortable! I’m still very -- [sneeze!] -- I’m still mostly healthy, and I’m going to stay by their side until they get better.

… Um, does anybody know about Mr. Armando’s pet kitty? and Mystic Maya’s bird! Vladimir and Artemis need to be fed, but I can’t go between the apartment and the hospital by myself. The plants need to be watered, too! [Someone please help a fretting girl out.]

[And then, drooping again, before she shuts off the video.] Poor Mystic Maya... poor Mr. Armando. I should have been more alert...

[Later, post-video, in Maya and Godot's room.]
[After making that announcement so those who know Mr. Armando and Maya will be in the know, Pearl’s going to be in their room watching over them worriedly. She tugs on blankets and sniffles, then perches herself on a chair and watches them with a frown

Well, looks like the pantry's stocked, I can make enough of it.

... How much are you planning to make?

[Sweet.]

Um...a lot.

You shouldn't make too much, Mr. Larry! What if the food ends up going to waste?

[laurice]

Then I'll have the rest for dinner.

[preciouspearl]

Well, soup is very good for you! You'll be eating healthy then, right?

[laurice]

'Course I will! Okay, I'll be there in a while. The soup won't make itself.

[This is where we make use of a time lapse, yes?]

[TIME LAAAAAPSE.

Pearl's waiting! She went to check on Maya and Diego for a bit, but she's grabbed a blanket and is sitting outside the room, waiting for Larry, so he won't get lost.]

[laurice]

[It takes Larry a while to cook up his so-called masterpiece and actually ferry it down to the hospital.

When he arrives, he's wearing a surgical mask and gloves, and carrying several stacked and sealed (and warm) containers of the soup. After some nice nurses point out the way for him (and after he tries to smooth-talk the ladies a bit as he goes), he notices Pearl and tries to quicken his pace without dropping anything.]

Got the goods, Pearl!

[preciouspearl]

Mr. Larry, you're here! [She beams as she jumps to her feet, trotting up to him. She stops before she gets in his way and pauses before offering to carry one of the containers, wanting to help.]

[laurice]

Never fear, Larry's here!

[He hands her one container as slowly and as carefully as he can. Good thing there are no beautiful nurses to distract him right now.]

Be careful, okay?

[preciouspearl]

[She will carry them with both her arms. Thankfully, the sleeves of her outfit keep her arms from touching the warm containers directly.] I've got them!

[laurice]

Thanks, Pearl. [He adjusts the stuff he's got so they're more balanced.]

I'd bring some sketchpads and pencils, but...I think I'll start with this.

[preciouspearl]

It's very nice of you. I'll put it on the table over there, okay?

[laurice]

Well, I can't just stand around while my friends are sick, can I?

For me? [Her eyes widen and a smile lights up her face.] Thank you, Mr. Larry!

[Can she open it now? She's kind of hungry but is it rude to eat before everyone else?]
