[Pearl Fey’s emotions don’t always show easily, but when they do, they’re usually related to ships Maya Fey. And while there are exceptions, today’s not one of them. The sullen, sad look that crosses her face today is definitely caused by circumstances involving her favorite cousin - as well as their roommate, Mr. Armando.

Anyway, she’s sitting on a bench in what looks like a hospital corridor. That’s already bad news, isn’t it? She frowns very deeply (pretzels drooping) and shakes her head sadly at the camera.]

Mystic Maya and Mr. Armando became very sick yesterday. We got them to the doctors safely, but...

[After a moment’s pause, she shakes her head fiercely from side to side!] I’m going to do my best to help the doctors make sure they’re comfortable! I’m still very -- [sneeze!] -- I’m still mostly healthy, and I’m going to stay by their side until they get better.

… Um, does anybody know about Mr. Armando’s pet kitty? and Mystic Maya’s bird! Vladimir and Artemis need to be fed, but I can’t go between the apartment and the hospital by myself. The plants need to be watered, too! [Someone please help a fretting girl out.]

[And then, drooping again, before she shuts off the video.] Poor Mystic Maya... poor Mr. Armando. I should have been more alert...

[After making that announcement so those who know Mr. Armando and Maya will be in the know, Pearl’s going to be in their room watching over them worriedly. She tugs on blankets and sniffles, then perches herself on a chair and watches them with a frown

[He smirks vaguely, then flops his head back on the pillow and closes his eyes. Having them open without the visor makes him feel uncomfortable.]

Must be something going around. [In a small way, he's both saddened and pleased. Sad because Maya is sick... but pleased it's not just his stupid body going out on him again.]

[Seeing Diego without his visor isn't anything new to Maya. She's tries to check him over blearily from her bed, but can't make anything out, and then Pearl distracts her (sick as a dog she may be, but she isn't too sick to notice that sniffle.) Immediately, Maya tries to draw herself up and appear as healthy as possible. And then coughs]

P-Pearly, hey.... Don't worry.

[Pearl responds to Maya's movement by tugging her cousin's blanket up to her chin, with a firm shake of her own pretzeled head.] You must lie still, Mystic Maya! You're very sick, both of you. I'm just... I'm just very glad you're both awake...!

Mm.

[He hates to admit he might not be for long. And he really doesn't want to ask how long he's been out, either, though it clearly wasn't too long.

You're a good nurse, Pearlita.

Yeah! You're so good I feel better al--[Maya wriggles a little at Pearl's tugging, still trying to look as tough as she can - but of course there's a pang of guilt from making Pearl worry that brings on a sharp bout of nausea. Better get out of range, Pearl]

Ngh...

You must rest, Mystic Maya. You too, Mr. Armando! The doctors say they'll take good care of you, but you have to rest, too!

No worries there. [He can barely keep conscious long enough to listen to her.

Oh well. At least he's in the hospital for a different reason this time.]

I-I'm resting, I'm-- [And there it goes. Luckily there's a basin provided for it, so after a minute of retching Maya tries to get a better look at Diego]

How are you feeling, Mr. Armando?

[Aaaah Mystic Maya noooo. Pearl freaks out a little at the hurling, but she tries to keep her cool as she fixes Maya's blanket and offers her the towels a nurse left by her bed.]

[His eyes are closed again and his face looks somewhat uncomfortable.]
