[In between her day job at the book store and her evening job at the theatre, Joan is taking a break at one of the coffee shops in Sector 4. She's bundled into a plain, gray coat that looks to have seen a little wear and use but it standing up quite nicely. Her hair is a touch longer now than in previous months, though she's got it clipped by today too.
Her NV is laying on the table in front of her. One can see the steam rising from her little styrofoam cup off to one side as she speaks.]
For the past three days, the same woman has passed by this coffee shop. She then turns around--
[Here she pauses a moment, obviously watching out a window.]
-- Comes in, buys a drink and leaves. Every day in the same jacket.
[She watches casually as a woman passes behind Joan in her chair, dressed in the ugliest jacket ever.
Joan watches her leave with a calm expression, then turns back to the NV as she reaches for her cup off to one side.]
Would it do any good if I told her about her jacket tomorrow?
[A sip and her expression changes to a crestfallen one.]
And do you believe I could get a different type of coffee as well?

Re: Video;
Alright. S.S. Kahve?
[Making a mental note.]
Thank you for the recommendation.
Re: Video;
Video;
[After October, she's mostly been hiding away. Focusing all her attention on work, work, work in order to lose herself, in a way.]
The repeating is quite distracting.
Re: Video;
[He offers brightly, and there's something hopeful on his tongue which has more than one meaning, and it wears down into a more cautious, cajoling suggestion. There's something more that they share, after all.]
You don't have to just copy... Joan.

Re: Video; 2/2
[The tone is a little harsher than she means it, the words a little quicker than she honestly meant them to be. She meant to sound confident in that.
She comes off a bit flustered.]

As long as our memories aren't being messed with, and we're sure that how we've been doing this is real- then no matter what the rest of this place does, we can do whatever we want.
Video
[That makes her wistful in a way. It shows through the easing of her expression.]
And be whoever we want, yes?

[Yet it seems strange that the only way to gain such freedom was through death.
She sighs out a little and reaches for her coffee again.]
It's a start.
