[In between her day job at the book store and her evening job at the theatre, Joan is taking a break at one of the coffee shops in Sector 4. She's bundled into a plain, gray coat that looks to have seen a little wear and use but it standing up quite nicely. Her hair is a touch longer now than in previous months, though she's got it clipped by today too.
Her NV is laying on the table in front of her. One can see the steam rising from her little styrofoam cup off to one side as she speaks.]
For the past three days, the same woman has passed by this coffee shop. She then turns around--
[Here she pauses a moment, obviously watching out a window.]
-- Comes in, buys a drink and leaves. Every day in the same jacket.
[She watches casually as a woman passes behind Joan in her chair, dressed in the ugliest jacket ever.
Joan watches her leave with a calm expression, then turns back to the NV as she reaches for her cup off to one side.]
Would it do any good if I told her about her jacket tomorrow?
[A sip and her expression changes to a crestfallen one.]
And do you believe I could get a different type of coffee as well?

[She sighs gently.]
It doesn't matter.

[Very briefly confused, then she ahs.]
The day. That may be it, yes.
[She does seem to be drinking it anyhow.]
I come here often so perhaps it was merely them anticipating my order.

I had assumed I had.

The back of a hand pressed against her lips and head slightly bowed, she comes up flushed and a smile breaking behind the hand.]
Not in those words but...
[Oh goodness.]
Re: Video; 2/2
But something like that? Really- what would you say to her?
Video;
[Joan, as blunt as ever. It's even better coupled with the smile she's still wearing.]
