[Rachel manages to startle herself while poking around at the appliances in her small, starter apartment. With her NV in one hand as she does, it comes as no surprise that she turns it on as she backs away from an exploding toaster.

Obviously, she shouldn't be allowed near a kitchen. It's probably a good thing she doesn't need to eat. There's a moment of her just looking at the counter top -- then at the NV and her head tilts a bit to the side.

It probably shouldn't be on.] Oh. [She fumbles with it, trying to turn off the feed and finally, fed up, tries to turn it off via angel mojo. She only succeeds in blowing up a lightbulb. She looks very put-upon, very frustrated, hiding a thread of fear underneath it. She is not ready to let other know she's here. That choice has been taken from her, because of her own carelessness.

[Elaine takes a few minutes to walk into the lobby of the Starter Apartments. She isn't trying to give the God thing--which she hopes it's not going to freak her out--it's the close distance with the Core that makes her wary.]

[Rachel is already in the lobby, toying with the NV and frowning at it as if it's personally affronted her. (Perhaps it has.) She's in an out of the way corner, thought still visible from the door. She'll glance in Elaine's direction as the door opens.]

[Elaine Belloc waves at her after walking inside. The door shuts softly behind her.]

Yes. [She hesitates a little, uncertain of what she really should be doing next.] Thank you for coming.

[Elaine tries to balance the awkwardness with a smile.]

[She doesn't get tired. Her muscles aren't real, so Elaine can have any choice.]

[Rachel shrugs one shoulder and pulls the NV from her pocket. She's fine with standing.] I appreciate your time and effort.

[Rachel nods and holds out the NV.] Of course.

Thanks. [Elaine takes the NV and touches the menu for options. Icons of video, hologram, text and audio appear.] This is the basic one. The type of broadcast you want to do. If you click text, for instance, you'll get access to a keyboard on the screen.
