Hello, Siren's Port. I come before you with a desperate plea.

[Visser One is no fool. First she takes a few hours to scan the networks and sort through enormous amounts of archived data. What she finds is interesting: evidence of Earth mythological figures, inhuman creatures proudly identifying as alien. People obviously from worlds far more advanced than Earth.

Still, she chooses anonymity. No sense in publicly humbling herself and exposing her Achilles Heel.]

I am a new arrival to this world in serious need of help. My species needs a certain kind of sustenance that we can't find outside of our home world.

I need help, or I will die.

I need someone with highly advanced technological capabilities to help me. Fortunately, I have the means to feed myself temporarily, which you can adapt for your purposes in creating a larger generator. Without it, I will starve to death painfully within a week.

Please, I beg you. Compensation will be given in whatever manner I'm capable, once I can concentrate on anything other than survival. I assure you, I am far from helpless, and will pay my debt in full. Anyone who chooses to assure my long-term survival stands to gain much from the bargain.

Who are you to decide? As I understand it, humans assign the responsibility for life and death to gods, not other people.

Then they weren't really gods. Maybe they just called themselves gods to fuel their own egos.

What gives you the right to control life and death? Who gave you the responsibility to decide who deserves to live and who deserves to die? Humans are brutal monsters from the viewpoint of cows. Does that mean you all deserve to be "torched"?

If your response to someone with different opinions is wanting to murder them, you're a psychopath.

If they have to trick people and can be killed, then they aren't gods, are they? My understanding of human religion is that a god cannot be killed, and are not confined to petty needs of the mortal plane. The monsters you slew sound like aliens or monsters with ridiculous egos who got thrills from appealing to human superstitions, which is even more pathetic.

I would support anyone cutting them down from their self-made pedestals. I don't support you deciding arbitrarily that human life is more important than alien life, and that other sentient, thinking beings deserve death for simply trying to stay alive.

Anything can be killed. Y'just gotta find where it's vulnerable, but I'm not gonn argue this anymore. Obviously we have pretty different ideas of what's right.

Then religion in your world must work differently than in mine.

What I believe is right makes no difference. If I required human flesh to survive, why would it be wrong of me to try to survive? Do you know how intelligent pigs are? They're a few degrees away from human intelligence. Parrots, dolphins- what vampires do, if they do it with a minimum of sadism, is no worse than what you do.

Arguing is how you expand your mind. Haven't you ever tried to see the world through a different set of eyes?
