[Visser One is no fool. First she takes a few hours to scan the networks and sort through enormous amounts of archived data. What she finds is interesting: evidence of Earth mythological figures, inhuman creatures proudly identifying as alien. People obviously from worlds far more advanced than Earth.

Still, she chooses anonymity. No sense in publicly humbling herself and exposing her Achilles Heel.]

I am a new arrival to this world in serious need of help. My species needs a certain kind of sustenance that we can't find outside of our home world.

I need help, or I will die.

I need someone with highly advanced technological capabilities to help me. Fortunately, I have the means to feed myself temporarily, which you can adapt for your purposes in creating a larger generator. Without it, I will starve to death painfully within a week.

Please, I beg you. Compensation will be given in whatever manner I'm capable, once I can concentrate on anything other than survival. I assure you, I am far from helpless, and will pay my debt in full. Anyone who chooses to assure my long-term survival stands to gain much from the bargain.

Technological skill. I feed off of a combination of biological products, which someone has already volunteered to help me with, and energy, which is the vital part.

I have a portable generator of that energy good for exactly one feeding. Hopefully someone can take my small generator and use it to make a larger one that will last months or years. It must be built within three days but preferably two.

Marco spent the next following two hours relentlessly pouring over and taking the message apart piece by piece. It is too vague to be really certain that it is a Yeerk, but it certainty fits the (vague) physical description of a Kandrona is and the time limit a Yeerk has without Kandrona rays. As the replies to the offers are obviously private and Marco unable to hack through his way to be certain (where's Ax when you need him? Or the Chee?). Which leads to Marco's main problem:the message it is too vague to Marco to be absolutely sure. There might be another species in another dimension who are not like the Yeerks at all, like the Iskoort. But Marco is here, right? Which means there is another chance from his side of the inter-dimensional pond that someone has arrived.

Just his luck that he is on his own here. With no back-up.
