You know, I make sure to pay really good attention to the calendar and changing the days, and I realized that it's been a whole year and a half since I first got here. It's sort of weird - sometimes it doesn't feel that long at all, but there are times it seems a lot longer. Even though it's hard, I'm glad. I learned a lot of stuff I probably wouldn't have, from some really amazing people. Some of them have gone home, but...

[She pauses, making sure her voice will hold before continuing.]

I know most of them are back where they would want to be. Even if I miss them, being sad just shows that we were close, so I think even that is something to be glad for. I hope everyone wouldn't be too sad for very long if I got sent home again, too.

I guess I just wanted to say thank you to everyone, all my friends and even people I've only talked to once. I don't know if I could have been very happy here at all if I didn't meet all of you, so I feel like owe you a lot.

Do you have a lot of that where you're staying?

I have somewhere I feel is safe, so I can rest and pull things back from the edge. And I can leave to visit places, if I wish, although there aren't many places I go.

I grew used to being alone.

I'm sure there were some. Just gets difficult to find them in a crowd.

Blaine and Jinx are really good people. It makes sense that you'd care about them a lot.
