video; oo8 (saturday before sirens)
[Greetings, Siren's Port. The face you'll be seeing is one that vanished from the Port a few days ago, but more than that it just... looks different. Older and younger all at once, free of the weight and pain that had been lining it before, the stress and insanity. Instead, in its place, is pure relief. As if the weight of the universe had been lifted off his shoulders.
Oh. And he looks like he might have just fallen through a window.]
Siren's Port? I'm really... this is the Port? Again? Now...? [His voice is strained, shaky, as if he's just about to completely lose control of his emotions] How... how long was I gone? Was it that long? Days? Months?
Is everyone still here? Jack? Washu? Jubilee? All you angel blokes?
... Rose?

Don't- Don't say that. [Because she can't have him promise it. Her forever, his forever, it doesn't matter. If he goes back... If she goes back. They don't have forever. Not there. Who's to say they have it here?]
action
It will happen, Rose. Here, back home... it doesn't matter.
[He knew, for a moment. When he was falling through the sky, heading down towards his doom, he'd known what he would have done if he started regenerating. He knows he has a hard time letting go, harder than most of his other regenerations. So he knew, in that moment, that if he started to die, he would hold off on it. He would go, and he would visit everyone he'd ever held dear. Not only in this face, but in all of his faces. He'd see them, he'd hold their memories close to his hearts, and he would give them something. Each one of them. And in the end, the last person he would see, there with him until his dying moments? Would be Rose. Before she'd ever met him, a man in the shadows.
That would be his reward.
But it hadn't come to that. He'd survived, he'd lived and now he's here, with her. Standing in this impossible world, surrounded by impossible people.
Maybe the impossible really can happen here. If he holds onto it hard enough.]
The impossible has been happening for me lately, Rose. And with everything, where I just came from... it can happen.
action
Except they were.]
..Come on. Lets get you inside. [Yes, she will fight to get him inside if she has to. To get him to a seat, a sofa, a bed, something. Just so she can look after him, help him heal.]
action
Yeah, sitting down would be kind of nice.]
That'd be... brilliant, actually.
action
So you ... saved the world. What happened? Alien invasion? [She has to wonder if it's those fucking Daleks again, but .... no. They should be gone. Would be. Better be.]
action
Nah... no invasion, really. Just... you know. The usual. Attempt to destroy Earth, raise a dead civilization, convert all of humanity...
