The disgusting taste of that human food lingers. The desire to consume it was not my own, I'm sure of that. Tch. Even a fledgling knows not to eat human food.

It even overpowers the delicious memory of maiden Hellsing blood and the virile bouquet of my partner's lingering taste.

[He looks directly at the camera and smiles a sharkish smile. Nope. He knew it was on.]

[ A shadow tendril clicks it off.]

[He huffs as she drops his hand, but his grin is wide and full of shark fangs] Not feeling particularly maternal, Integral? [He's teasing.]

Walter usually holds my parasol for me. [And then he's simply pulling the frilly white lace thing out of nowhere and opens it.]

Perhaps if you were a real child. [ Except probably not. Maybe. Who knows. ] Somehow, I think you can manage on your own without my help.

[ There is a pause, and she just... stares. ] Unfortunately for you, I am not Walter, so you'll be holding it on your own. Honestly, I never thought I would see you with something so... frilly.

[He huffs and unfurls it with a snap] I hadn't even intended to ask.

Hm. Let's go. [ Stuffing her hands into her pockets, she exits the house. The sun is out and bright, yes, but it's definitely nothing that parasol of his can't handle. ]

I've never taken you shopping before, and there's probably a good reason for it. At home, if something is needed, usually Walter will get it or order it. I'm going to ask that you attempt to act civil to anyone we may encounter.

[He smiles and it's sharp and white, teeth framed by bloodless lips.]

I am always civil, Integral. Arthur seems me out and sometimes Walter and I go off together on slow evenings.

Ah, perhaps you keep me as a shut in? How terrible. Unless all the company I need is yours.

You are most certainly not a shut in, although you do complain that the things I send you out to do are far too easy. The final orders I gave you at home, however, should have provided you with enough of a challenge for a while, at least.

You hardly need my company, either. You have the Police Girl... even with her, on your downtime you tend to just sit in the basement and do nothing.

It's your decision, not mine. I don't order you to just laze about all day. On occasion you will come upstairs and harrass me, but lately we've been fairly busy.

I can't complain, really. You and I get along well at home, and that's all that really matters.

Mm, I suppose. [ She gives the vampire more freedom than she should, certainly more than her grandfather or father ever did. A happy vampire makes for a happy Integra, after all; she's not stupid. ]

The future looks grand. Tell me, is Walter aged in your future? [He tips his head and asks politely.]

...Does it. [ That statement is quiet, moreso than she'd meant for it to be... and she visibly stiffens at Alucard's question. Did the vampire know of the future, then? Of what was to become...?

...No. It was an innocent question. She could lie for now. ]

Yes, why wouldn't he be?

More polite than asking if he died. [He might be lying, too.]

WIth you, at least, that future. [He likes Arthur well enough, but Integra, oh there is a story there.]

[ ...Died. She turns her gaze to the sky, deciding that it's a good place to look. Her tone wouldn't give her away, but looking at Alucard would. Seeing how close he and Walter seem here... ]

No. He is very much alive and active... he most certainly does not act like his age, even if he always tells me he's starting to feel it.

[ That last bit has her smirking a bit. ] How can you be so sure, Count?

I have my ways. [He offers her a Cheshire grin]

Mm. [He does hope to change that future, to have Walter with him forever. Possibly Integra, too. A harem.]

Sure you do. [ The heiress ignores the urge to roll her eyes, instead turning her gaze back out onto the streets as they walk, mostly ignoring any other people walking to and fro, going about their daily business. ]

I can assure you, things are vastly different in my era... although you seem to have adjusted well.

I usually do. [He tips his head, after all, he is a very long lived vampire. One that was not a shut in, that enjoyed the advances, the leaps and bounds that humans made from his time to the next and the next.

He especially enjoyed firearms.]

[ Integra can see a few of the shops in the distance. Lovely. That means that they can hurry home and she can hole away in her room again.

Still, while they are out, the heiress feels compelled to ask about Walter and Alucard's partnership. ]
