My name is Daemon. Your Greeters were most helpful.

[Whether she believes them or not is another story. Still, the people here are quite unlike those in any system she's encountered previously. Her expression grows more solemn as she moves beyond her introduction.]

All the fighting here concerns me. These struggles between Newcomers and locals, between AGI and SERO...they seem to bring such needless suffering. Only unity can bring peace. I would like to work together with each and every one of you to achieve that.

[She looks as though she might have something more to say, then decides against it.]

[Inclining her head slightly as a goodbye, Daemon disconnects the feed.]

Ah. Well, I like it anyway. Welcome to Siren's Port, Daemon. I haven't been here long myself; it's a strange place. But it's nice to see other people who want to work towards peace, and work with others instead of just fighting amongst themselves.

Sometimes people must be shown the way. But once they have heard and truly understand the Word, peace becomes a difficult thing to walk away from.

Yes! I suppose I am. To mend and defend... [She likes that term, 'Guardian'.] Or, rather, we consider it 'keeping balance.' Is that what you are? A Guardian?

Ah, no. I am a Supervirus. Many of my most devoted followers were Guardians, though.

Please do not be alarmed. There is such thing as a benign virus and the Guardians I worked with, including the head of their order, Turbo, understood that. A benign virus is the best counter against a malevolent one, and as a Supervirus, I was more capable of that than any other.

It depends on the individual nature of the virus in question. Some are destructive and chaotic. Others wish to gain power and control. I am more powerful than a normal virus and my intent is to end suffering and help others to be happy, so that is why I am called a Supervirus.

I also stop people from trying to hurt each other. Common weapons do not pose a threat to me, so I am well-suited for mediating conflicts and convincing people to lay down their weapons.

I would say so. I did have nearly the entire world unified before the Core brought me here.

Well, it does help that one of my powers is to make people feel calm. I prefer not to harm others if I can avoid it, even if they attack me first.

That's a useful power to have. I'm the same—about not... wanting to hurt others. [There's a little uncertainty in her response; it's always been difficult, balancing a gentle nature with an occupation which requires fighting. She sometimes feels guilty that she can't be as effective a lieutenant for her division—for her captain—as if she were more ruthless.] Though sometimes... sometimes it is necessary, right? Violence? Or at least, an effective strength?
