Good Morning Siren's Port! Both Oz Vessalius and I, Earl Ciel Phantomhive, would like to welcome everyone to Funtom's Cake Challenge! Three teams will be pitted against one another to bake and decorate the most elaborate, captivating and delicious cake they can for the grand prize of one thousand dollars to each individual member of the winning team.

But, Ciel! Don't forget, if they fail to finish their cake in time, they'll forfeit the money. [ he sips at his tea ] Isn't there a charity we could give it to instead? [ mmhmm. he's doubting the team's ability to finish. Are you really going to take that? ]

Well, there is the Newcomer Fund, but surely one of the teams will win. Each team will be judged by our team of five judges consisting of Gabriel, Madam Red, Xerxes Break, Allen Walker and Franziska Von Karma. Do your best - they will not be judging your creations lightly.

[ Oz's eyes go wide ] That's quite a list and it certainly won't be easy for our players to make an impression on our judges. [ do some of them even taste their food? But then he giggles. ] Should we warn them to stay on their toes? I know of at least one judge who likes to show up in the oddest places. [ yes, Break. That's you. He has high hopes for you! Just don't eat all the cake. ]

Batter will fly and so will mixing spoons, I believe. Keep your wits about you, contestants, the whole port will be watching!

And don't forget, if you see something you like -- or dislike -- send in your texts, your comments, anything! Our contestants won't be responding, but they might just see something to egg them on because, that's right, they'll be able to see and hear every word of it too as we'll be broadcasting the stream right over their heads.

Honestly, I'm looking forward to it. Things could get really interesting, don't you think?

_{[The kitchen area is set up into three starting stations for each team. It's a rather large kitchen, mind you, with about enough material to create any sort of cake you could possibly wish to bake: an assortment of fondant colors, sugar flowers and other icing treats are also available and on hand to use. Each contestant has been assigned a team number. Find your team and begin to bake! Remember, the cameras are watching. Any comments people send in will be visible on the big screen on the back wall, either to encourage or distract the contestants. May the best baker win!]}

[Kevin shows up without Mimsy, but wearing short sleeves and without gloves. He's got a new earring on his left ear, but he says nothing about it and shoves hair out of his eyes.

Before stepping into the kitchen area, he pulls back the hair and ties it up into a tail on the back of his head. (Yes, it looks utterly ridiculous. He doesn't care.)

He's looking through his recipes as the others show up.]

[Dean didn't have to do much cooking growing up that didn't consist of spaghettios and cereal.

The hot food he did get was at gas stations and the occasional drive through so he's not the leader on this team and that's obvious.

He's just doing what he's told trying to swallow his pride and at the same time make sure no one he knows sees him doing this.]

I skipped out on home-ec so just tell me what to do or give me the directions so I don't screw [He gestures toward their supplies] this all up.

_{[The judges corner is one that has been set up in a separate area of the store. There is, of course, tea and treats to snack on, comfortable seating along with an entertainment system, movies and a Wii to pass the time. (You know you want to play Wii bowling.) If there is anything the judges need, they need only call on Ciel or Gilbert to fulfill their whims. Until judging time however, they'll be segregated from everyone else, unable to see the shenanigans unfolding on the live feed. Make the best of it judges and try not to kill each other.]}

[He doesn't recognize anyone present, nor any of the modern amusements provided, and he's never judged a competition in his life... but Allen definitely appears to be in his element at the snack table.

Though, in a display of truly herculean self-restraint, he is limiting himself to only a few bites. Since, he's assuming, someone else might want to partake.]

[ You might not recognize him, Allen, but Xerxes Break certainly knows who you are. Which is why an elbow simply appears on your shoulder, as Break leans on you and across you, to get at a handful of DELICIOUS CANDY! ]

[Pay no attention to the little man with the mustache. Don't question why he feels the need to wear a mustache to this whole event. It's not like everyone who knows him doesn't know it's him.]

Hence, Break doesn't notice the little mustache. Or the man. Which is why Break bumps into him, sending his heavily-laden plate of petits fours flying.

[ There are two problems with this whole scenario. One, that the judges have been provided with an intercom. Second, that Break was instructed how to use it. ]

[ This thirteen-year-old judge is sitting restlessly in her chair, resting her chin awkwardly on her right hand, her left, dominant, arm still in its cast. Her riding crop is still within easy reach on the table in front of her, but she's not hitting anyone just yet. Instead, she's eyeing the Wii in the corner, starting her day's judgement by critically dismissing what counts as 'entertainment' these days. ]

[He notices her eyeing that thing— he'd looked at it earlier, but still couldn't make heads or tails of the device (or any of the others.) And she appears rather put-off by it, curiously.

So he comes to stand nearby, finishing off a bonbon, smiling affably.]

Er, excuse me, miss... do you know what that is? [Gesturing at the Wii.]

[Well it took a very long time, but eventually the group comes forth with their cake presented upon a fancy, rectangular cake stand:



Hattie looks particularly proud of the creation, even if it doesn't really match her dress. That's fine, it's to be eaten anyway. The entire velvet cake is edible.]

[Frau is really only here for one reason, and his name is Kevin. Since the kid had entered, there was no doubt that Frau would make his way over. He hadn't exactly been expecting the tea, but it's a nice surprise.

For now he'll just hang back with a cup and keep half an eye on Kevin. Maybe later he'll consider stealing a slice of cake.]

[And after a while, as soon as Teito's last day at the Zoo is over, he slides in right beside him, with his own cup in his hands, verdant eyes scanning the contestants, looking for a specific one.]

[Amy dropped by simply to buy pastries for her family, but she soon finds herself quite engrossed int he livestream of the event. The competition looks pretty fierce! And she had never seen quite a competition outside of fighting before!]
