thirty second dance | video;
[Hello, Port. Today a certain redhead is sitting propped against a wall in a small building full of birds. Being friends with someone who has enough money to buy an entire aviary is pretty great. There are definitely at least three sitting on her as she begins to speak over the various noises.]
You know, I realized nobody had ever really seen inside here except me! But I like it a whole lot. It's really calming, and it's fun to take care of them all. Back home, I used to feed the birds that lived near the school, too, so it reminds me of my world a little bit. [As she talks, a pigeon comes down and sits on her head. Blinking, she looks up with a smile.]
I guess there are new people starting to come in now, too. I wonder if— [But then she pauses before looking quite panicked. She ducks down, and though the NV is pointed in the other direction now, there is the distinct sound of a bird hitting the glass wall of the aviary, as well as the muffled beginnings of a quack.
Birds are such intelligent creatures, aren't they?]

I don't think that would have been very good for you or the bird.
. . . At home, people put shapes and things on windows so birds can see that there's a window there. Do you think that kind of thing would help?

Well, I always liked the bird ones. But they could be anything you like, I guess. You cut them out of paper, so you can make whatever you want.
