I need any information on magic pertaining to souls, unleashing or releasing them. Any information would be helpful. 

This is not the first time Angelus has been released. The first time it was released by ancient Asian magic. It took a powerful witch to get it back. And in the meantime, he went on a rampage.

I don't care if he's on some bounty. This isn't who he is, and I'm sure it's to be said for the other vampire. I'm not the most skilled in magic, but I think I could do this. I simply don't have the right resources.

If any need information on protecting yourself, holy water and crosses will fend him off, but I advice staying in your house or apartment.

what i'd do is soak the bullets in holy water. it doesn't sound like it's effective, but believe me it works.

There are holy oils you can use if you know the right prayers to say over them. It's pretty arcane stuff, though.

Does any oil work? And does anyone know the prayers?

An angel would be your best bet for the prayers, probably. I left my father's library in my other pants. Pure olive oil works, though adding balsam to it makes the effect stronger. This stuff would only work on a vampire who's vulnerable to general holy... stuff, though. It's not effective against vamps in my world. But it can't hurt, right?

Luckily there are some around I could ask.

Olive oil I have. Balsam I can get - how much?

Even after this is settled, best to have it around, in case, yes?

I don't know. All I know is that in the old days, the anointing oil or whatever had something called balsam in it. I don't think it's necessary, though.

With your power, I wonder if carving crosses into all the bullets would work? If you have other weaponry, you can use a bow and arrow. Each arrow is a miniature stake.

I would have no problems doing that.

I'm not very good with bows or crossbows. Someone in this house has to be, though.

If the bullets are silver, that doesn't hurt.

Tell me the specific result you want from the ammunition and I'll make a recommendation.

Right. You'll have to forgive my switching over; it would take too bloody long to type it all out.

Crosses would work best with ammunition made to injure. Silver-alloyed hollow points with the crosses carved into the rear. Carve them into the sides and they'll be rendered useless by the warping of the bullet on impact. Ideally you'll want the material making up the bullet to be blessed, but the other man's suggestion of dipping them in holy water should do in a pinch. Just don't handle them too much between that and shooting them.

...In regards to ammunition intended for killing, you'll want explosive rounds. You wont need to carve crosses into them-- it would be rather useless given that they would be destroyed almost immediately. But the rest of what I said still stands.

Share it with the people you trust but not to the immediate world. I don't need a bunch of amateurs going after these pests due to sudden delusions of invulnerability.

Is there a test to see if it worked prior to using the bullets? Also works with knives I assume? How long do you need to soak them?

all i can think of is to find crowley and shoot him up. knives too, yeah. but what i think makes a difference is you usually soak it in salty holy water. things that can't handle holy water can't handle salt too, so it's a double precaution. i don't think it would hurt here
