ninth jump \\ [video]
[The video cuts on very suddenly. The fact that the camera is angled down at a pair of black boots on a grassy field suggests that it's not entirely intentional. The owner of said boots sounds like he's on the verge of either a complete breakdown or some kind of homicidal rampage.
The view shakes violently as Griffin gestures emphatically.]
Yes, I know how to work my bloody NV, I've been here!
Look pal, you need to calm down. I know, it's scary--
You're not listening. Tell me what the date is or the only scary thing that's gonna happen is me snapping your neck.
... January 27th, 2012.
[There's a long beat before Griffin answers. He's less angry and more shaken now.]
It hasn't even been two weeks? You're telling me that--
[Just as accidentally as it had been started, the video ends when Griffin tightly grips his NV and happens on the wrong button.]
[[OOC: Surprise? Griffin is returning after spending about two months in his world. Nothing extraordinary happened to him.]]

action
Because he is completely sure about that now. Siren's Port is home.
But now really isn't the time. Anna just planted one on him, for God's sake. If interdimensional travel was all it took for that to happen, he would've done it sooner.]
Hell of a welcome.
action
Then Griffin had gone and disappeared and everything just went to hell in a hand basket, but you know.]
Yeah, it um. Was a little surprised to find you just .. gone like that. 'Never know a good thing till it's gone' or something. [Yes. Good. Um.]
action
You weren't the only one surprised. Trust me.
[It seems important that she knows that, that he had no intention of going anywhere. It figured that just when Griffin felt like he found somewhere it wasn't horrible to stay put, he gets taken away. His hands come up to rest on her arms. Like he's trying to make sure he's anchored down.]
action
No notice or ... anything? Just out of the blue?
[She's trying to figure out if there's a trigger or something- not trying to blame him for leaving like he did. Just fyi. She doesn't move when he grabs her, either, letting him use her as the anchor he needs- she's certainly not going anywhere.]
action
[He had felt that nausea, that tugging in his middle, and he knew what it meant. Griffin had been terrified in a way that he hadn't been in the longest time. He tried to outrun the Pull but it had been useless, of course.
He pulls a tight smile.]
Doesn't matter now. I'm back again.
action
You... tried to Jump out of it?
[The Pull- or in this case Push, one might say. -- Her smile is a lot more well-put than his.]
Weren't gone for that long- only about two weeks. At least here.
action
[He chuckles nervously. Griffin realizes that he still has one of his hands on her. ... How long can he get away with this? Well, if there ever was a time to push his luck. He brings her in a little closer.]
It was longer than that where I came from. A couple months, I think.
action
She does have a sympathetic wince for his answer, though.]
And you didn't remember anything when you were there? Like ... it had never happened?
action
Griffin doesn't look her in the eye and shakes his head in a way that could almost be apologetic. He didn't want to forget.]
