Excuse me..I'm sorry to bother everyone but I have a question..

Does anyone know where I can find some books? Or do you have books you might be willing to donate?

My job wants to have a reading area when it is rebuilt and..well it's my task to find some books for it. [And Teito always tries to do his best when it comes to doing something. He figures this is the best way to start.]

And I know it might be hard to part with them, but you can always come and read them at the cafe. There will be drinks and food and you can just read and enjoy them there. [He starts talking a little faster as if trying to portray just how important this is.]

Ah..sorry. You really don't have to do it, but if you have any information where I might be able to look I really would appreciate it.

Hello again! [Balthazar recognizes Teito, and, always inclined to be social, jumps at the chance to chat. Unfortunately, he doesn't own any books.] Where do you work, out of curiosity?

I'm afraid I don't have anything concrete to offer you, as I've just arrived, but have you considered taking advantage of these NetVice things everyone's carrying, and the network they use? I know they don't reach outside the city, but if you set up an electronic reading station at your workplace, perhaps a few people would be interested in submitting original fiction or articles for your patrons to read. You might even get a group of writers to meet there and critique one another's work, like a literary salon.

I work at a cafe called the Cat's Eye. It was destroyed recently by the people who live here. It's in the process of being rebuilt though.

An electronic..reading system? [You have to forgive Teito, he actually doesn't know much about this kind of technology. It took him awhile to figure out this phone thing.]

That sounds interesting..maybe we can do something like that but i'm not sure how to start it.

Yes, just scrolling text or something. There were some devices for it where I came from, with various cutesy names and marketing ploys. But all you'd really need is a terminal and a way to store files on it. Do you know anyone who knows computers well? [Sadly, Balthazar is not that person. Ideas, yes. Implementation, not so much.]

Uhh..[Teito frowns as he thinks about that.] I'm not sure what a..computer..is. But there might be someone who does. So a terminal would be like a library?

Oh? Well, it's sort of a catch-all term for a number of devices, I suppose. A terminal would be a screen where files of stories could appear to be read. You'd have to have a way to store them digitally, and to have them transmitted to you.

Mind you, I'm not an expert. I've played with these sorts of things for the sake of entertainment, that's all.

[What the hell is he talking about? Okay..some of the stuff on this world is neat in how it works but Teito definitely isn't an expert or know what it is called. He'll have to ask his boss.]

I see..well I can try to explain it to my boss and maybe he will know what it is and if we can do it.

I suppose you could go door to door, but that might be risky. And unfruitful.

Yeah. We've got some books we got from a library sale once. I could get of most of them, probably- but let me just check with Roxas and Xion first.

Oh, these are all kinds of books alright. We had to learn all about this world and none of us wanted to go to school here.

I'm sure my boss will be really happy to know that. Are they all books from this world or are they from all over?

Just this place. I don't think anybody got pulled with half a library on them.

People might have had one or two books on them though. And with as many people as there are here..there is no telling what kinds might be out there.

People sell all the stuff in their house they don't want anymore! It's really cheap.

I might read them if they are there. But since the cafe isn't built yet I'll just keep them at my place until it is ready. That way they are safe.

I did read a lot at the church but it was mostly because I was looking for information on my past.

Your past...? [There seems no other way to ask without sounding crass.]

Yeah..I didn't remember any of it. It would only come in little flashes so I was hoping I could find out who I was.

By reading about it in books? [He doesn't sound incredulous so much as he does curious.] You mean records, history books...?

Yeah..records. About what happened to the country and about a war that happened there.
