The white hart?

[towerlocked]

Yes. He was a beautiful beast that came before me. He and the fairies are part of the good magic that inhabits my world. The dwarves said his appearance was a blessing.

[charmedson]

What does he look like?

[towerlocked]

Like a majestic hart. His hair as fine as the fallen snow, his eyes solemn and wise. His antlers are like the branches of trees. I only saw him for a moment, but his very presence gave me courage.

[charmedson]

That sounds amazing. Rare magical creatures... They only appear for people who are special.

[towerlocked]

It was an experience I will never forget. [a pause] Nor do I wish to forget any experience I have here.

[charmedson]

[Chris smiles a bit.]

Good. I don't want to forget about you either.

[towerlocked]

[her pale cheeks flush at that. She knows her story is a legend, yet she also can tell Chris means her personally and not just her story]

I feel the same.

[He shrugs]

I'm not that easy to forget. [He says, faking a bit of arrogance.]

[towerlocked]

No, you certainly are not. [she says this fondly, smiling at him] I would gladly walk this stretch of road with you all evening.

[charmedson]

[He smiles back and then after a moment, he says thoughtfully] That was one good thing about being in the past, wasn't it?

The stars... [He glances up to the sky, which won't be showing them any stars come night fall.]

They are old friends. It was good seeing them again.

[charmedson]

I admit I didn't use to care about them as much.

[towerlocked]

[she finds herself resting leaning close to him again] What changed your mind?

[charmedson]

Not having them...

[towerlocked]

I see... [she lets her head rest on his arm. Although she was told dates are supposed to have coffee, she would be just as content with walking the whole city with him]

[However, Chris seems the shop up ahead and points it out.]

We're almost there.

Excellent! I am very excited to share this time with you.

[Chris grins a bit]

Who told you about coffee anyway?

[towerlocked]

Her name was Buffy, I believe. She told me-- [she hesitates, wondering if she should confess] She told me it was customary in your time to invite a person to coffee.

[maybe that already gave too much away. "Coffee" is code for "date", apparently]

Customary?

Yes. Is that not so...? [nervously fidgets with her hands]
