Another accidental video - re-entry with a new canon point
[Dirty fingers brush over the NV screen when it switches on, leaving bloody streaks across the screen. The whole video is vibrating; as the fingers move, a view of the Newcomer apartments from the baseball diamond is clearly visible. Whoever is holding the NV is clearly a newcomer and clearly in some kind of trouble.
After a minute, there's a shallow gasp and a moan; the voice is high pitched, obviously a girl's. The NV falls, and goes black; it's camera down in the dirt. But it lasts only a minute. The owner of the voice goes to pick up her NV, gasping in agony as her hand curls around the device. It's obvious why; there's a hole shot clean through her palm and out of the back of her hand.]
Marius? Marius, where are you?
[The voice has a heavy French accent when she speaks, and just for a minute, Eponine's face comes into view. It's dirty and tear stained. Her hair is a mess, greasy and tangled but that is the least of Eponine's concerns. She's forced herself into a sitting position, and one hand she presses to her chest, - a chest which is bleeding profusely. She gasps again, and sinks down onto the ground and out of sight of her NV.Without anything to support her weight, she can't keep herself upright any more. She knows she's dying, and tears wet her cheeks. She feels sick and dizzy and the world - wherever she is, fades in and out. She needs to see him before she dies. Her breathing is getting more and more shallow. She has to ask his forgiveness.]
Mariussss...

Mariussss...
Action
[He's on his way in a moment, and it doesn't take him long to reach the field, blurring into view at Eponine's side. He kneels beside her to inspect the wound; he isn't a healer, but he knows a few kidou that may be able to stabilize her.] Quiet. You're wasting energy.
[He may be here, but expecting a calming demeanour out of him is a bit too much.]
Re: Action
She coughs, wanting to vomit, but it makes her gasp from the pain in her chest, and she reaches for Hitsugaya with her injured hand.]
M'sieur - tell Marius... please tell him I am here.
Action
[Does no one listen to him? Tch.]
[Hn. Gunshot wound. He isn't exactly accustomed to these, despite his time here. But he can at least slow the bleeding a little before he moves her.]
Close your eyes; this will be bright.
Re: Action
[She tries to sit up, but groans, and holds her destroyed hand to her chest]
Please - I need to give him... before...
[She gestures at the NV on the floor, apparently under the impression that it's the letter she hid from Marius. But she has to slump to the floor again.]
To heaven, M'sieur? It's bright?
Action
[He's already told her once to close her eyes and twice to be quiet. He's not repeating himself anymore. He splays one palm about an inch over the wound in her chest, and a bright green light flares up, accompanied by whispered words in a language she won't understand.
[She'll notice the pain dim somewhat, and the bleeding slows to a more moderate degree.]
Re: Action
[She looks up, focusing on him properly, and gasps, which causes her to moan in pain. Hitsu? But... he's real? This whole place? Real? Eponine had presumed it was a dream; presumed she had been knocked unconscious when her Papa had hit her. But... he was real? And he's healing her? Why? He hates her?
She closes her eyes as light flashes green on her chest, and suddenly, she can breathe a little easier.]
M'sieur? You're healing me? Why?
Action
I may not like what you've done, but it doesn't mean you should die because of it.
[He pickes up her NV and presses it into her uninjured hand.] Hold onto this. I'm going to move you. It will be fast, when it starts.
[He has to lift her from under her shoulders, given how small he is, but he's strong enough to carry her.] Take a deep breath if you can.
Re: Action
But Marius - Where is he? Is he here?
[She takes a deep breath too, though it pains her, and she has to screw her eyes up to distract her from the new pain shooting through her chest. She's still trembling, he'll notice, a reaction she can't control. But she says nothing more and lies still. If Marius is not here, she wishes not to be either.]
Action
That's not a question I can answer.
[The world will become a blur around her, with brief seconds of clarity between each movement. The nearest hospital is Skye, and he finally stops just outside the doors of the emergency department. No more than a minute or two has passed since he's started moving.]
Re: Action
Where are we?
Action
[Upon seeing the scene outside the door, a few medical personnel rush outside to help. Hitsugaya addresses them calmly, clearly.] Gunshot wound through one hand and into her chest. I've stabilized her, but it's all I can do.
Re: Action
You're a good boy, bringing her here. Now tell me, Sonny, do you know what happened? Who is she? Are there any relatives? You've obviously been practising your first aid, well done.
[Patronising? Just a little, but the doctor apparently doesn't notice.
Eponine's trolley is rushed through the doors, but even as she goes, she calls out to Hitsu as lodly as she can.]
Please bring Marius. Tell him there is his letter here, please!
Action
She's an acquaintance of a friend of mine, and no. I'm unaware of what's happened. I don't think she has any family.
[He's leaving the rest of that alone, but he can't help but wonder what Eponine is going on about. Why is this so important to her?]
Re: Action
[And sure enough, the doctor has a range of sugar free treats in her pockets. She bends down so her face is level with Hitsugaya's and pulls the lollies out, offering them to him]
Are you sure she has no-one who needs to be told?
[The doctor lowers her voice] Is she a newcomer? Do you know if she has money to pay for care?
[Because, judging by Eponine's emaciated body and raggedy clothes, she had next to nothing and this was going to be an expensive do.]
Are you sure, little boy, that you know of nobody who needs to know this girl is here?
Action
[Right. The costs. Tch. If Eponine had money, she presumably wouldn't be stealing. He'd have to front at least some of it himself. Well, whatever. It won't be a bad hit on his finances, with how much he makes and how well he saves.] She is. And funding can be arranged.
Re: Action
[The doctor goes to put a comforting hand on Hitsu's shoulder.]
You're being very brave. It isn't nice to see someone so badly hurt, is it? But don't you worry, okay? We'll have your little friend as right as rain in no time. Now don't forget - you tell a grown up that - what is her name? - that she's here. Now don't forget, will you?"
Action
[It's taking all of his self-control not to snap at this doctor. Goddamn it, how young does she think he is, anyway? He hasn't been condescended to this badly in months.
[He turns away and starts down the hall to the exit, all rigid military posture. What this woman has told him to do means nothing; he's just got to get away from her attitude. Over his shoulder, as he leaves:] Her name is Eponine.
