[The video feed flicks on, revealing a somewhat tense looking young man. He's blonde, with snowy pale skin and purplish shadows under his dark eyes. If you're a possessor of heightened eyesight, you may notice that his neck and jawline is heavily ravaged by crescent shaped scars, disappearing into the v of his shirt.

He's sitting in what appears to be some sort of holding cell.]

My name is Jasper Hale. [His voice is clipped, with the barest hint of a Southern accent to it.] And firstly... I'd like to apologize if I had harmed anyone at my arrival. I acted on instinct, and that clearly wasn't the correct choice.

[His tone is wry, perhaps even bitter. He's silent for a few moments.]

I hear vampires aren't quite a secret around here, and I just can't help but wonder how well that's working out for everyone.

((ooc: Okay. So at Jasper's initial arrival he was a bit of a sour grape and tried to attack some people. Long story short he got voided and is currently chilling in jail.))

I spent six months in prison.

So you'd best get comfortable, unless you're willing to lick the boots of the idiots in the Sanguinarian Society in the hopes they'll rally behind you.

[His eyebrows go up.]

My wife is working on bailing me out. So I don't think I'll need to owe anything to this Sanguinarian Society.

They are a group which represents vampires within the city, and unless I am mistaken, your wife is among their number.

I find them disgusting, personally, but I suppose the feeling is mutual by now.

[empathetics]

[His brow furrows, and his gaze turns wary.]

Was involved with an advertisement campaign, if I'm not mistaken.

Is that a problem? You'll find hardly anyone really cares if one is vampiric or not in a place like this, where men are devoured nightly.
