It should be a good thing, should it not? For someone to return to the world in which they belong. They are going back to friends and family... We should be glad of that. Yet it is still painful to lose that person, because they are your dear friend.

I am glad for the friendships I have made here, however temporary they may be.

Oh? What is San Francisco like?

[charmedson]

Warm, for starters.

[Chris is quiet for a moment before he decides to share] It used to be really beautiful but someone evil took over recently. He's been destroying it bit by bit.

I actually went back in time to try and stop him. I think it worked out, but I ended up here before I could be sure.

[towerlocked]

That sounds like my home. [and that means he has to go back, just like she does]

You will do it. I know you will.

[charmedson]

[Chris shrugs]

I left it in the hands of capable people. My family. They're all really powerful and good.

There's not a lot more I can do, really. I was trying to get back to the future to see if my changes worked but then I ended up here.

[Which is mostly true. He's just leaving out the part where he was betrayed by a family friend and killed.]

[towerlocked]

[she smiles at him. She really hopes that things turn out well for him. But the smile fades when she thinks of him leaving]

You must be anxious to return home.

[charmedson]

If you ask my aunts I'm pretty much anxious about everything.

[towerlocked]

[she lets out a soft laugh] You don't seem anxious now.

[charmedson]

Well, you calm me down.

It's been a long time since someone has been able to do that.

[towerlocked]

[she doesn't know how to react. No one's ever said anyting like that to her before. Very conflicting feelings that eventually settle into a shy smile]

[charmedson]

[Chris's eyes widen a bit when he realizes how that can be taken.] Not that I'm implying anything, you know.

I don't want you to think I'm getting the wrong idea about you.

[towerlocked]

I would never think that. You have been nothing but kind to me since we met. There is no reason for me to think you would be anything less.

[charmedson]

Okay. Good.

I'm going to keep doing that at least.

[towerlocked]

[she smiles again] Could I see those orbs again?

[charmedson]

Do you want to go somewhere or just want a light show?

[towerlocked]

[wait was that a wrong thing to say?] I only meant, if you are willing to show me. I've never seen anything like them before.

[charmedson]

[Chris shrugs and moves back from her. He looks up and then throws up his hand, tossing some light into the air. It shines and simmers around them, changes from blue to gold.

[she lets out a soft gasp. She never thought she would see something like that, or to think of it as beautiful rather than frightening]

Amazing.

[charmedson]

[He smiled a bit and then looked directly at her.]

You know it's magic, right? The good kind though.

[towerlocked]

I can see that. It has a different feeling from the magic of Ravenna.

[charmedson]

That's your step-mother?

[towerlocked]

Yes. Her dark magic has corrupted my home. Before I arrived here, she cursed me... It felt like I was dying.

[charmedson]

[Chris can relate...]

On my world, a witch's magic is used for good. They're powers are meant for light. [He gestures up to the orbs and sparkles of light still around them] My mother and her sisters were the most powerful witches born. They're called the Charmed Ones.

I just want you to know that magic can be beautiful too.

[towerlocked]

[she takse his hands in hers, squeezing them gently]

I do know that, Chris. Thanks to you.

[charmedson]

[Chris holds her hands and smiles at her.]

Any time. [He says, because she's not really sure what else to say.]

[towerlocked]

[she's more at peace now. She will always miss Ino, but the sadness of her absence has lifted]

I'm ready to go back.
