It should be a good thing, should it not? For someone to return to the world in which they belong. They are going back to friends and family... We should be glad of that. Yet it is still painful to lose that person, because they are your dear friend.

I am glad for the friendships I have made here, however temporary they may be.

I thought so when I first woke here. Now I'm not so certain.

You wouldn't be the first person to come here after something really important happened. But for other people, they were just having a regular day. I don't know if there's any way to know why we're brought here.

Perhaps because were doing important things.

I used to think I was doing something important when I came here. Turns out it didn't really make a difference.

I find that hard to believe. Every life affects the world, even in some small way.

Maybe it's just that it didn't make as much of a difference as I wanted, then.

Unfortunately, we can't always see the impact we make. Sometimes it isn't apparent until after we are gone.

That's what I mean. They tell stories about me, although right now I haven't done much of anything.
