[ When the NV turns on, Ella isn't really paying attention to it - though her intention might have been to use it, that thought is derailed by the chatter of several others nearby. ]

No - no no, I don't need - Excuse, me could you please stop pushing baskets at me, I don't want your brochures. Really, I appreciate it but - [ They are totally not listening. ]

No, thank you that's kind of you but could you just ... take... these -- but I - [ Yea, Ella, keep trying to talk over the company representatives. With a clatter, she drops the NV, and it now shows a crooked image of Ella with her arms full of baskets from AGI and SERO both, looking a bit lost, frustrated, and confused. Yet she perseveres! ]

I'm just trying to say - this is really too much so - oh! [ Aaand the bundle of baskets in her arms abruptly topple over when she loses her grip, tumbling onto the floor, papers scattering everywhere. Those representatives? Totally off to harass another newcomer. Help her? That's silly. ]

Could you h- oh, no, of course not, yeah, no walk away, that's just great... thanks. No, thank you,I've got it, not that you were lifting a finger to help or anything...

[ Sighing, Ella kneels to gather up what was foisted into her arms, though she catches sight of the NV recording. ]

... Is it always this...chaotic?

[ Maybe she can give this stuff to someone else. What she really needed was warmer clothing. ]

Is there anything else I should be cautious of here? Besides night-monsters?

Many things. Avoid the companies, as much as you can, as they can be very dangerous.

[It's just soft enough to be called kind.]

Many people here are not human, and most of them have powers of some type. That doesn't mean all are dangerous but it's best to not underestimate others.

The companies? Ah, you mean the overzealous people that gave me all of... [ She motions at the baskets. ]

That stuff. I guess I should throw it all out, with that in mind.

Not human - you mean elves, and fairies, with magic? That sort of thing?

Yes those. I missed most of them, as Michael came to me as soon as I arrived.

[And then they flew away, so he didn't even speak to them.]

Use what you need to, those are free. But do not take money from them. The man - Chuck, the short man who mentioned work to you - I watch over him. If he is offering your work, you'll be safe.

[And makes watching over people easier, when they are all in the same place.]

Hn - they did mention something about offering loans. Rather aggressive aren't they? They kind of remind me of sharks in the water. [ Circling prey. She grimaces slightly. ]

So that guy, Chuck, he's a friend of your brother's as well then? I'm not sure what sort of job he - or I - used to work. But if I'm going to be here any amount of time, I'll need it. [ Especially since she didn't actually -have- any money right now. ]

Sharks I would not be so concerned about.

Chuck is a charge of ours. We watch over him, protect him. He works in a club which my younger brother owns, he wouldn't ask you to do something you would object to.

[He did know that.]

[ Snrk. ]

Ah, another brother? Do you have a lot of people from your world here then? [ She also nods at the part about Chuck, looking relieved. ]

That's one small worry off of my shoulders then. [ She'd have to inquire about that job later, with Chuck. ]

There are a fair few. I have two younger brothers here now.

[His face softens, almost to a smile.]

Good.

[ Aw, he can almost smile! ]

I'm glad to hear it. What are your brothers names?

[In time, he'll relearn how to smile for real!]

Gabriel runs the club, Castiel is the younger.

[ And then he'll be a real boy-- wait... ]

My guess is you get along pretty well with them, huh? I never had brothers or sisters - just stepsisters, and I barely get along with that one.

I love my siblings, but we disagree on occasion.

[Or have a full blown civil war. Same thing.]

Hattie, you mean?

That's...more than I can say about her.

[ A nod to the question. ]

My other stepsister is Olive, but thankfully she's not here. I haven't seen Hattie ..yet. But I know I will eventually. [ She just really really wishes she didn't have to - but at the same time, Eponine having to deal with her, ick. ]

Why do you say thankfully?

[ Ella pauses to get more comfortable on the couch, collecting her thoughts. ]

She's a little more tolerable than Hattie, and maybe that's because she's ...slower. But I don't get along with her that much either. She always followed whatever Hattie said, since Hattie is older. Having both of them here would just make things... more difficult.

[ At least as far as dodging Hattie. Ella would't put it past her stepsister to tell Olive to keep an eye on Ella - and Ella really didn't want to see her here. ]

If anyone was here, I kind of wish it would be one of my friends; Mandy or Arieda. Or even Lucinda.

And Hattie is less tolerable why?

[ That's where it gets sticky. She can't very well say, 'Oh she knows about my curse and uses it whenever she wants something. Which is always. ]

Personality clash. She's spoiled, stuck up, and inconsiderate - among other things. I can't stand people like that.

[About thirty minutes after her reply, he appears in the living room of the starter apartment, with the flutter of wings. And he's holding her sword.]

In that way, she reminds me of my elder brother.

[Although Lucifer wasn't stuck up.]

[ EEP! WHat the heck - what is it with people randomly appearing. Okay Ella is a liiiittle more used to it if only because - fairies do that a lot. Or at least some did. So after a few seconds pause of surprise, she recovered, brown eyes dropping to the sword, then back to Raphael. ]

Does she -- I guess you don't mean Michael; I can't imagine I'd have been friends with him if he was like Hattie.

That sword -[ Pointy McPoint. Didn't - hadn't she given that to Eponine because that stupid blackmail? ]

[He turns it in his hand, offering her the hilt. He's familiar with swords.]

No, Michael is the eldest.

[He adores Michael, and the warmth shows in his voice.]

Is yours. The matter is taken care of.

... [ Setting aside the NV she'd been perusing, Ella leaned forward to take the sword by the hilt. No blood on the blade so that was one plus. ]

Taken care of? What did you do...?
