I'm not going to be the asshole that sits there and smiles at a miserable patient hacking up a lung or bleeding on their table. That's why hospitals and doctors offices have receptionists-- so I have to make small talk with a depressor down their throat.

I just make sure they go home in better shape than they came to me in.
