[Phoebe taps the screen curiously]

Uh - if anyone can see this - uh...  I might be a bit lost.

[This is what happens when you use spells to take you to the future and end up being burned at the stake. Having recovered from her initial shock and discomfort somewhat, Phoebe's manner is back to her more jovial self.]

Which way is the exit? I need to get home, like, NOW or my sisters are gonna start panicking. And you do not want to see Prue in a panic - believe me!

[Phoebe snorts with laughter] You cast a spell on the WHOLE city?

[She exhales tersely.]

Yes. We'll talk about it later.

Just wait for me behind the dugout, I'll be there in a while. In the meantime, those coupon books the Greeters were offering you- take them. Trust me, you'll need them.

[A last, long look.]

[Phoebe rolls her eyes, but walks slowly back to the dug out. Did Prue actually say that she loved her? Or was Phoebe's hearing still off from the burning and the rough landing in Port? She'll have to listen again, when she meets Prue.

She's more aware now, of the greeters and what they're trying to tell her about the Core and stuff, and she makes sure to pocket the coupons and the free samples people are giving out. No need for Prue to know that Phoebe ACTUALLY followed her advice.

She listens dubiously to the prattle about loans - really? But she moves on. She's sat on a bench behind the dug outs, cross legged and reading her NV with a smirk on her face when Prue appears]

[Personally, Prue is grateful that Phoebe doesn't come from really early, because explaining that she can say "I love you" now isn't really on her list of things to do. But that's furthest from her mind on the cab ride over- what she is thinking about is plans, logistics, apartment size and rent rates. She hasn't asked Chris to move in with her yet, but she had planned to, and this doesn't change that. But the Charmed Ones can't live apart- and Prue doesn't want to live away from her sister.

They have a month to find a place they can all afford, with room for Piper (and Leo) if they show. It's enough. It has to be. She scribbles and notes and marks things down in the notepad she always carries with her, spending the last 15 minutes of the ride mapping out how much overtime she'll have to work to make enough money. And to account for Phoebe- who she will not let stay jobless, not until they have the cash.

A pothole startles her out of her concentration, and she notices they're close. The Towers are looming on the left, with the baseball field stretching out behind some buildings down to the right. Prue puts everything away and neurotically smooths her skirt over and over again until it's time to pay and get out.

She watches the cab drive away with her back turned to the field. A deep breath- okay.

Her eyes widen when she first sees Phoebe, and she actually manages to walk a whole ten feet before breaking into a jog and yanking Phoebe into a crushing hug as soon as she can.]

Phoebe. I can't believe you're here.

[Phoebe hadn't even noticed her sister coming - until she was pulled into a hug. Her NV went flying, landing somewhere beneath the bench as Phoebe almost sagged into Prue's arms. Seeing her big sister again - being able to touch her - just reminded Phoebe of when she had been restrained; when they could only offer glances of commiseration and apology. It brings back the memory of being burned alive - of the pain and the humiliation - the knowledge that she murdered someone in the future. She's almost crying, sort of making gasping sounds, but her eyes are dry.]

I didn't think I'd see you again.

[astralling]

I know.

[She pulls her tighter, letting Phoebe bury against her if she needs to. From what Phoebe said and how she's reacting, it's not hard to guess exactly what her little sister just left behind.]

Oh honey, I've missed you so much, I can't believe you're here.

[p3rebel]

I've missed you too, Prue.

[For a minute, she just hugs Prue, relieved that she's ok - relieved that Phoebe herself is still alive. But then she pulls away, and there's that little sparkle back in Phoebe's eyes which means mischief]

So Prue, sex-changing spells? On the whole city ?
That is way worse than anything I have done.

[astralling]

[Prue nods, and try as she might to mirror that sisterly sparkle, her smile is paired with eyes fighting back tears. Teasing- that's her Phoebe. Her Phoebe.]

Yeah. I- [an odd little laugh.] -I cast a spell that changed over two thousand people.

[p3rebel]

Riiiiiight! You can officially never yell at me for using my magic again!

[She's laughing though, and moves to hug Prue again.]

Don't be sad. Now tell me about that cute guy! What was he called? Sam? Are you two...?

[No tears on her arrival. And if talking about boys will distract Prue, then they'll be talking about boys!]

[Prue smiles a little in spite of herself. She can always count on Phoebe to get right down to business. Another hug it is.]

Ah- no, not really. [SUBJECT CHANGE YES] It's not like I meant to turn half the city upside-down, that's just what happened. [She puts a hand on Phoebe's back to guide her to the street.] My magic interacted weirdly with the power of the Core. We have to be careful with the wording on our spells here.

[p3rebel]

[Is Prue always this practical? Stupid question, really. Yes, Prue is always this practical. And so unwilling to talk about boys.]

What does 'not really' mean? Either you are or you're not.

[She's still grinning though. Phoebe KNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWS. But still - practicality does need to be discussed.]

Careful with spells - got ya. But wait - do we even have the Book of Shadows here?

Yes, we have the Book. Don't worry. I've kept it safe.

[Prue takes a minute to flag down a cab, get them inside, and tell the driver where to go. It isn't to the Towers.]
