[Prim’s smile lights up when the com turns on at last - although it fades quickly when she turns to face the screen. Wherever she is – wherever that explosion sent her…]

Hello? [She hesitates; but if the Capitol sent her here, they already know who she is anyway. Most people did, anyhow.] My name is Prim. I’m looking for my sister; Katniss. She might be looking for me.

[She hesitates – but you can’t ask to get something for nothing, and respect a response. So.]

It wouldn’t have to be for free. I know a lot about herbs – I could help heal you; if you’re sick. Or pick out herbs for you.

[There's genuine surprise, but it's shoved away quickly; making sure she stayed safe comes first.]

Prim? I need you to listen to me for a minute. Are you still at the field you showed up in?

[Peeta? She hesitates, and then nods.] Uh-huh.

There should a be a big building somewhere close to you. I need you to go in and wait in the front room, okay? Katniss is out hunting, but I'm going to go out and get you. I'll bring you back here, and she'll be here soon.

There's a lot to explain, but it can wait until after that.

So Katniss is here? [Yes; she's fixated on that. Katniss has to be here. She has to tell Katniss she's alright; because.........]

Are you alright? [You're not acting very crazy.]

Yeah, we've both been here for a few months. Since May, I think.

Alright? I should be the one asking you that, you know. Do you feel sick?

[She shakes her head, biting her lip.]

Are you alright with... Katniss?

[He figures Katniss should be the one to tell her about the wedding. But - that question does catch him off guard.]

Yeah, you could say that. Prim, what's the last thing you remember?

[Fire. And light. And...]

...War.

[—So something had happened to trigger rebellion. There's a part of him that wants very much to ask what it was, but she must be overwhelmed enough as it is. A talk like that can wait until they're all together.]

I'm coming to get you now, alright?

[She nods.] Alright.

[He disconnects the feed, but as soon as he can catch a bus to where she is, he's rushing into the lobby of the Tower Apartments, looking around for the girl.]

Prim?

[Raphael has been keeping her company, so far, while she waits. Still, when she hears Peeta's voice, he moves cautiously towards him.] Peeta?

[He puts on a smile so she'll feel more comfortable, bending down slightly so he's more on her level.]

Hey! Sorry if I kept you waiting. Are you sure you don't feel sick?

[She shakes her head.] Should I?

Most people do, but I'm not about to say you feeling fine is a bad thing. Come on, let's get out of here.

[He starts to walk to the door, leading her.]

[She walks quietly behind him for a moment.]

Do you love my sister?

[There's barely a pause before he answers - not out of uncertainty, but confusion at the sudden question. He looks down at her with a smile, heartfelt and warm.]

Yes. Why, what did someone tell you?

That you're getting married.

[He's not going to lie, but... He really feels as though Katniss should be the one to explain everything to her.]

We are. Hey, when we get to the apartment, I'm sure she's going to want to tell you all about it.

You said she wasn't there, thugh. [Staaaring.]

I also said she'd be back soon. You won't have to wait long, I'll bet.

Do you promise? [She wants your promise, Peeta.]
