[Someone has gone through several cups of herbal tea this morning before feeling assured that he's calm enough to come to the network. If he didn't have classes to teach today, he'd spend the entire day doing a thorough physical on himself. (Get your minds out of any gutters they've fallen into.)

As it is, after the initial incredulity, shock, horror, and rising fury passed, he's thrown on a button down shirt, shoved his hair out of his face, and settled down in front of the video camera.]

Good morning, students. If you're thinking about skipping class today because you're suddenly confused about which bathroom to use, don't. I'll be there and fair warning to SPU faculty, I'll be using the men's room.

Biochem students, yes, we will be having the scheduled exam.

[Back to the topic at hand. She makes a stronger effort to make eye contact with the blur that is her NV, brushing her thumb along the edge of the screen where Bruce can't see so it looks like she's looking at him properly.]

I need to move that up if I'm going to fix this mess. I'm really sorry about this, I know how disturbing it is- believe me.

Make it a top priority. I don't want to find out this has some fairy tale "fix it by midnight or it's permanent" clause.

It won't. I've never cast a spell that I couldn't reverse. Weird fairy tale clauses or curses, I've dealt with, but that doesn't happen with witchcraft gone awry.

There's a chance this will wear off before I get the chance to reverse it. The glamoring spell I was trying to improve on wears of after a few hours.

What's the worst case here? Don't try to soft sell it, just give it to me straight.

The worst case is this backfires against me really hard, and something terrible happens to me for using my magic to hurt people. My brand of magic tends to have weird personal gain consequences like that- but not against innocent people. That's not how it works.

If it comes down to it, there are plenty of people in this city with a lot of power. If reversing it myself doesn't work, I plan on asking for help.

And actually, in theory, this is a fairly easy fi- I was accidentally turned into a man once, and it wasn't that hard to change me back. This is just a lot... bigger.

You sound really confident, but I'm stuck remembering that the first time I met you, you were boiling milk.

I don't mean to be confrontational, but there are parts of me I miss, even if I'm not shouting it from the rooftops.

The first time we met... I was in a really bad place. I've never been away from my sisters before. My powers are tied to my emotions, and it was... yeah. Not good. But now I've gotten kind of used to this place, and I have my nephew- I'm fine. My powers are fine. Casting spells is different than active powers anyway- those are basic witch powers, and whether or not I can fix this hasn't changed.

[She sits forward, trying really hard to sound competent and reassuring while she's... like this.]

I've solved harder problems than this before.

I hope you're right. I'm not going to tell anyone what you've told me, but like you said, there are plenty of people here with a lot of power, and they'll be looking for you.

Managing it doesn't mean making it go away. It means controlling it instead of letting it control you.

Funny how no one ever takes me up on that.

I learned to repress a long time ago.

Repression didn't work out so well for me. Accepting that the anger is always going to be there made a big difference.

I found a lot of good in having a channel for mine. Plus, it's hard to deny having anger when you have magical proof every single day.

Heh. Yeah, having destructive evidence is a big denial killer.
