I was told that "movies" are very similar to the theatre. How do I find these "movies" and how do I watch them?

There's theaters for movies, too. You just buy a ticket for the one you want to see and go right in. But there's also rental places where you can borrow them like you do books at a library. All you need is a TV and a DVD player.

I could do a movie night at my place if you're interested. I bet you've never had a slumber party before.

I'D SAY YOUR BEST BET WOULD BE TO LOOK FOR SOMETHING CALLED ROMANTIC COMEDIES OR "ROMCOMS" AS THEY ARE BY FAR THE BEST TYPE OF MOVIE YOU COULD POSSIBLY FIND.

I believe they are indeed similar to theatre, mademoiselle. But, instead of actors on a stage, it is something of a...moving picture.

[ ah, yes. He recognizes this confusion quite well. ] They are similar! A movie just gives you the same performance each time, but actors in a play can change it sometimes.

Oh, yes, I loved plays as a child. I haven't seen any in a long time, though.

You've probably got some help by now—but yeah, you really should check the movies out. I'd never seen one before I got here, but they can be really great.

That's a tough one...but I really liked the three we saw about this space war. It had laser sword fights and pirates and aliens and stuff.
