[ It has been a long time, Siren's Port. Well, not long in dragon terms - a month in jail is like spending a day in jail for everyone else. But Aurican has learned to be sensitive to the issue of time, especially in a delicate place such as this.

Aurican is on the beach again, half submerged in the ocean. His NV seems to be hovering above his massive horned head, showing his strange, fish-like wings folded and partially submerged underwater. ]

All said and done, the jail cell I've occupied for the past month could have been worse. I was sentenced far longer than a month, but I was let go on good behavior.

Which shouldn't be surprising, as gold dragons such as myself tend to keep up with manners. Most of the time, anyway. [ Because if it was all the time, he wouldn't have been in jail in the first place. ]

I hope I still have my occupation. I do miss playing the harp.

More like a trio of gods. The gods of magic. The remaining gods were less than pleased with their interference.

Oh. Did they do something against it?

They imprisoned the gods of magic to their respective moons. That eventually backfired, as my brother, trying to dodge the blue dragons's attacks, managed to collect shards off the moons while they were in his path.

He gave me the shards and I consumed them, granted of their magical power. I then used my enchanted breath to grant the eggs of my kind the gift of magic.

And now all dragons that came after you have magic?

That's correct. Well, the metallic dragons have. Chromatics already have magical ability.

Oh, there are other kinds of dragons too? Huh. It sounds pretty complex.

It isn't that terribly difficult. Chromatic dragons come from the Dark Queen and inherited her tendencies for cruelty and dominances. Metallic dragons such as myself come from Paladine and we at least try to uphold the standard to be merciful and kind, in accordance to the creed of the Platinum, Father.

So one kind of dragons is cruel, another is merciful?
