(You know, for all the oddness that came with that time warp thing, it definitely fulfilled one of my college wishes: to have extra time to study for my exam. So I guess I shouldn't complain.)

[Phoenix clears his throat, then activates the video. He's sitting behind his desk at his rather vacant-looking law offices.]

Hi, everyone. This is Phoenix Wright... Thanks to everyone who helped me when I got here last month. I guess I'm settling in a little bit, for better or for worse. Again. If you knew me from before, I'm sorry, but I don't remember most of you. It's, uh, nothing personal. I'd actually like to talk to as many of you as are out there... to kind of see what "I've" been up to before, if anything.

As far as further news goes... I guess coming on the heels of the last post, it's as appropriate a time as any to mention that Wright & Co. Law Offices are open for business again for anyone who needs a defense attorney.

Nelliel is fine. Szayel asked me to find him a lawyer that would represent him. Our world is very different than this one, and I have befriended more humans who understand the local laws than he has.

You're a prosecutor here, too, huh?

(Even though you used to be a defense attorney... And it wasn't because you wanted to leave the business, or get some semblance of respect, or have a living wage, that you stopped, if I interpret what Maya said correctly.

...Although all of those are valid reasons not to be a defense attorney.)

He is not completely innocent, but he is not guilty of everything he is currently being imprisoned for. If you are willing, perhaps I can meet with you, and then explain the situation in more detail in person. You can make your decision from there, and if you are willing to meet with Szayel, perhaps the first thing you can do for him is argue his right to receive gifts that the prison guards inspect first. I wanted to bring him a book.

In my experience, there are plenty of prosecutors who are staying in the business for the wrong reasons.
