little miss power,
high in her tower,
dying to flog and to flay.
but along came a spider
who rose up beside her
& convinced miss power to play.

Spiders don't convince people of things. People convince people of things. Blaming it on the spider is just Miss Power's attempt at shifting responsibility over onto something that can't defend itself.

A wolf in sheep's clothing has little interest in actually being a sheep, only in being indistinguishable from the herd. If it finds the act of eating grass disgusting, so be it. It doesn't seem to put him off his dinner.
