It's been more than a year since I got here. To be honest, I completely forgot the date. It's not really the kind of thing that you remember, when you have other things on your mind-- like why you keep waking up on the same day. [ Sheepish smile. ]

I've met a lot of people this past year, and I've seen a lot of things. I could disappear from the Port any time-- maybe years from now, maybe tomorrow-- but I hope I get to remember everything, even if I do. Until that happens, I'll just have to keep moving forward. There's still a lot for me to learn.

[ Judging by the way Yako pauses, that seems to be all she has to say about that. A lot has changed, and though she isn't normally one to mark anniversaries, enough has happened in the past few days that she thinks it deserves noting. Instead of her office, she's making the post from her kitchen-- she hasn't left home just yet.

Absently, she tucks a bit of hair behind her ear, moving it out of her face. ]

I've seen a couple of people post about Valentine's Day, and I know not everybody celebrates it, but... if anyone wants me to, I could show them how to make chocolate and bake some things. It won't be anything fancy, but a gift's always different if it's hand-made, right? I was just thinking of doing it at my house, but it might be easier if we could find a bigger kitchen to work in.

But I bet you could probably help turn the pages and stir the batter, at least. And since we'll be in Funtom's kitchen, there's probably an electric mixer.

I can tell most of the letters apart now, but when I see full words everything just gets jumbled and confusing. I'm starting to wonder if I was just a bad reader before I died.

Don't worry about it so much. I can understand you fine as is, and I think anyone who talks to you can, too.

I'm not too worried. As it is, writing is a bigger pain than just talking to people.

Hmm, is it okay to let people know you're around on Sunday? I mean, they might be kind of surprised when things start moving by themselves and all.

Sure. I like it when people know I'm around. I'm not the type of ghost who likes scaring people.

You know, I don't think I ever got the chance to ask, but have you ever met any other ghosts in the city?

[Oh, hard to say... he might not mind the cute label so much. He'd much rather be thought of as... "cool" or "regal" though.]

I have. That Lee fellow. He's a friend of mine.

There are lots of other ghosts here, but not all of them speak back to me.

I think we've met. [ Her voice seems a little more somber, suddenly, and quieter: Lee means Veser, and Veser isn't in the Port anymore. ] He seemed like a nice guy, just... sad.
