[Mercy looks like hell. Her face is a riot of blacks and reds in the bruise covering one half of her face. There's a cast on her left arm, a wrist brace on her right. She hasn't been to work in a few days, and all her phone calls have gone unanswered.
So, she has to do what she hates to do: Ask for help publicly.
And, her body language flat out says she doesn't want to do this.]
I need a bit of help moving tomorrow.
[Because she's not staying in the same house where she got the shit beat out of her. It took her a month to go back into her garage after she'd been assaulted there, back home.]
I also will have a spare room available for rent. I have two requirements in a room mate: Women only and they have to be comfortable with two cats and two dogs around the house.
[A pause.]
Also, I'd prefer no magic users, but that point is negotiable.
[She clicks off the feed, barely keeping the grimace of pain from her face.]

The bruises are worse up close. And it's a lot more obvious for the observant, that she's got broken ribs.]
Come on in. Don't mind the animals.
[The cats ignore him in their feline ways. Mei sniffs his feet.]
[action]
Maker, you don't look too good, do you?
[action]
Please, come in and have a seat.
[The couch is still there, though most other things are gone. And there's boxes everywhere.]
And no, I don't. I should've walked away.
no subject
Moving out or moving in? And what do you mean, you should have walked away? Is that how you ended up like this?
no subject
[She sighs and eases herself down onto the couch. Medea curls up on the back of the couch behind Mercy's head.]
I should have walked [run] away. I didn't think it would go that far and I was wrong.
no subject
[Frowning a bit, Anders leans against the opposite arm of the couch, watching her.]
So are you going to tell me why I shouldn't try healing you?
no subject
[Mercy doesn't like the angels on the island right now.]
Because magic doesn't work on me, or I would have gladly accepted. It never has. And it is something I'd prefer no one knew about.
[Unfortunately, she'll have to heal the old-fashioned way. Stupid magic resistance or whatever it is.]
no subject
[He's obviously surprised by that; Dwarves were resistant to magic, everyone knew that, but Anders could still heal one or use his magic to defend himself.]
But why would you want to keep that-- Oh. I see. So if someone like me has to fight you or defend themselves, you've got an advantage. Take out the mage before they know what's happening.
no subject
In my world, there's a lot of people who keep trying to kill me because I resist their magic. I keep my head down and I'm alive.
Mostly.
no subject
Really? [He stares at her a bit.] Where I'm from, they'd be trying to sign you up in the templars, see if other people could learn it as well for when they decide to hunt down people like me. They'd love your ability.
no subject
I barely know what I am, don't know the extent of my abilities, just that some of them make me prey number one for certain creatures, and couldn't teach it if my life depended on it.
[Oh, and I change into a coyote. That'd put a damper on things wouldn't it?]
I don't think your people would like me very much.
no subject
[Anders sighs and forces a smile.]
Still, I suppose it's not going to be a problem here, is it? No reason for me to or you to be worried, so long as we just remain friends, yes? And I can see what I can do to help those injuries of yours heal.
no subject
I think I can agree with friends.
[She leaves the hunting thing alone, because as far as she knows, she's the only one left. She really does not want to get into a discussion about how the others died.]
no subject
I'd never say no to an attractive woman wanting to be friends! And now that's sort of out of the way, how do you feel about potions?
no subject
[Bliiiiink.]
I don't drink them?
[Confused.]
no subject
[Now he's looking confused.]
no subject
[HAHAHAHA Drinking Fae made potions? Or those by the witch? Or how about the vampires? No thanks.]

We don't have herbalists. Doctors, but they don't use potions. The type of people that use potions don't like me.
