[The NV flickers on to show Ven rubbing a cloth over the glass panes of the windows in his bedroom. Once he's done and the windows are practically spotless, he addresses the network.]

I've gotten these as clean as possible so I can set this up. [He holds the phone up to show a shiny telescope. The lens is set up close to the glass and pointed upwards towards the sky.] I've had this for a while and never gotten a chance to really use it. The darkness makes it almost impossible to see any stars at all, but I'm hoping I might find something if I use this. And since setting it up outside would be dangerous, I have to look through the window.

[Now he peers into the eyepiece and sets the phone down.] Hmm...

...

Ah, nothing yet. But I'll keep looking. I can see the moon all right, but not much besides that.

But it'll be worth it if I see something, right?

I have to admit, singing is kind of fun.

But maybe you could write music instead.

That would be fun, but I don't really know anything about music... I've never played an instrument before.

That's okay, though. I have other things I like to do.

What kinds of things do you like to do?

Yes, there is.

I like to cook. Well-- I like baking a bit more, but I like cooking, too.

I like cooking too... but there's still a lot I have to learn.

I haven't even tried baking yet.

I think baking is a little easier than cooking. You just have to make sure you pay attention.

I think I can manage that much.

I want to try making a cake at some point.

I like making cakes a lot. They're really fun to do!

I've seen some cakes in books that look really amazing. But they also look really hard to make.
