[The NV flickers on to show Ven rubbing a cloth over the glass panes of the windows in his bedroom. Once he's done and the windows are practically spotless, he addresses the network.]

I've gotten these as clean as possible so I can set this up. [He holds the phone up to show a shiny telescope. The lens is set up close to the glass and pointed upwards towards the sky.] I've had this for a while and never gotten a chance to really use it. The darkness makes it almost impossible to see any stars at all, but I'm hoping I might find something if I use this. And since setting it up outside would be dangerous, I have to look through the window.

[Now he peers into the eyepiece and sets the phone down.] Hmm...

...

Ah, nothing yet. But I'll keep looking. I can see the moon all right, but not much besides that.

But it'll be worth it if I see something, right?

[And then there's the telltale sound of a darkness corridor opening up before someone slips up and wraps her arms around him from behind and kisses his cheek.]

[At the familiar sound, he looks up from the telescope in time to get the kiss on the cheek. He grins and turns enough to return the favor.]

[She leans her chin on his shoulder, arms still wrapped snugly around his waist, and peers at the telescope.]

What are we looking at?

At the moon right now. It's the clearest thing, so I thought I'd start there.

Of course not. I was just doing this to pass the time... it's way more fun when I can share it with someone.

[She wriggles around and settles herself in his lap.]

[Oh. Oh, that is so unfair, Xion. Ven has to look to the side so that she won't see the furious blush forming on his face.

S-Sure. [He adjusts the telescope so she it's at her level.]

[Utterly oblivious to the discomfort her position might be causing, Xion leans forward and squints into the eyepiece.]

Am I supposed to be seeing all black?

Normally? No. Here? Yes.

The sky is really way too dark to see anything good right now, so try tilting the telescope a bit to the right and you'll at least see the moon.
