For those of you who knew my nephew Zuko, he disappeared this morning. It was as if he vanished, not a trace of him anywhere.

[He had made an effort of looking]

I think that it will probably be for the best, he has much work to do back home.

[It is a bittersweet parting. He was glad to have family here, but he would rather Zuko be off fufilling his destiny]

From what I have seen, if you stay for a year, you are less likely to leave. Those within their first year of coming are the most frequently returned to their home. There are no definites that I have seen.

Do you think that this Core which has supposedly brought us here... do you think that it designed to serve some sort of specific purpose?

I like to believe it brings Newcomers here to attempt to fix it and bring about positive change. It is only a theory though.

Of course. However, it is nicer to have hope there is some purpose here, compared to the alternative.

How long must this Core keep bringing in people like that before it will bring in those that will actually make a positive difference, then?!

Do not be too judgemental. You do not know the circumstances which drove them to do so. Everyone has a breaking point.

That is a very black and white view. Let me ask you this, if the government is corrupt and unequal is the law being upheld?

I am certain they can be, it is a long path.

I am not justifying what happened, but look deeper into the reasons why the event happened. Look at things in a wider scope. If you believe in the law, take into consideration everything involved.

You honestly think that just because we're a minority group, it gives people an excuse like that? That's all it is - an excuse. Unacceptable!

Did I say that? I don't believe I did. All I am suggesting is that you open your horizons, and look at things in a wider view.

What sort of things? It all looks very clear to me, honestly.

Does it now? Find out more about the people and beings, learn who they are. You should know a person before condemning them.

And just what can't be seen while its in the cage, to follow your analogy? I think that it would grant me a better view!

It would be still yes, but trapped. Something outside its natural state. A caged animal immediately is defined by its imprisonment. It may be for its own good or the safety of others, but you can not truly know a creature outside its habitat.

So, what, you think we should allow criminals to run wide and free, so they can murder and thieve and fight to their hearts' content?

I don't believe I said that. I am suggesting that knowing someone is dependent upon the circumstances in which you see them.
