[Prue looks less than stellar- eyes slightly rimmed with red, makeup just barely smudged enough to indicate that she was probably crying a while ago, or came close recently. She's frustrated and has a small smear of ash on one cheek.]

Does anyone have any experience with their magic or- or powers from home not working right here?

I can't make any spell work. I've tried everything I can, and almost nothing I've done since I came here has done anything but almost destroy my ceiling.

[She makes an almost painfully frustrated noise in her throat, teeth on edge and eyes watering angrily.]

This is ridiculous, I'm stronger than this.

I don't really know yet. It looks like there are a lot of magical practitioners here, though.

I am wary of magic. The queen of my country used it for evil purposes.

[astralling]

[Her expression softens instantly into total understanding.]

You don't have to worry- I'm a good witch. It's my job to protect innocents from people like that.

I was unaware there were such things as "good" witches.

[astralling]

Trust me, there are. Magic is just a tool, like anything else in the world.

[towerlocked]

A pity, then, that none from my home use it for the good of others.

[astralling]

That is too bad. Magic can do incredible things. I use it to fight people like your queen.

[this makes her wonder what would've happened if there was another witch in the kingdom with the power to fight against Ravenna]

Her name is Ravenna. She is fair-haired and very beautiful. If she were to come here, please be on your guard.

I'll keep that in mind. She wouldn't be the first evil witch I've faced.

[Although the last one was actually too strong for her to fight, but-]

Is that what you plan to call yourself? You know, you might get fewer questions and weird looks with a nickname.

My mother gave me this name. I would not wish for another.

[astralling]

No, of course not, but- for instance, my full name is Prudence, but everyone calls me Prue.

It's a personal choice, of course.

[She smiles slightly. Prue understands wanting to honor your mother- and chooses not to say anything, since her spidey senses are telling her that Snow White's mom is probably not around anymore.]

It's nice to meet you too. But you can call me Prue. People only say "Prudence" when I'm in trouble.
