[Hiccup is busy. It's not often one gets to see him so engrossed in doing things. He appears to be threading something together, maybe even reinforcing the edge of the saddle that usually stays on the dragon's back. As a few more stitches are made, he stops, checking over his work.

It's not long before the Viking boy will find himself with company. A large black shape slinks in behind him, large green eyes glancing over at the NV-rock before the dragon peers over at Hiccup.

The boy doesn't appear to notice, muttering to himself as he goes back to sewing.

Toothless peers over his arm for a few seconds, then pulls back. It's not long before he does so again, this time having come around the other side.

Without looking up, Hiccup wrinkles his nose.]

Toothless– hey. What are you–

[Green eyes glance to one side, then the other.]

–I'm sorta in the middle of finishing this–

[Big green eyes stare at him a moment before Toothless pulls his head back again. Maybe he's leaving Hiccup alone to finish up?

Seconds pass as Hiccup blinks, checking either side once more. Although slightly puzzled, he eases himself back into his sewing.]

...Okay. Good boy.

[It's several minutes before the dragon reappears. This time he settles his chin over Hiccup's head. From here he watches a while, and it becomes apparent just how comfortable he's gotten as he yawns and closes his eyes.

And as Hiccup finds himself hunched under the weight of the dragon's head, he sighs. This makes sewing impossible.]

[He shrugs while wearing a tired, lopsided grin.]

[In Sheila's world, you have to be nice to your horse or you wind up missing a few teeth.]

The cows, chickens, and sheep are okay to talk to! Makes you sound a little crazy, but whatever works...

...Dragons, on the other hand? I just have mixed feelings over it now.

La! If it staves away one's loneliness, 'tis as good as clacking away about dresses and knights in a queen's cloister.

'Tis rather likely that Sir Toothless hears thy speech and understands it, from other occasions of thy public acquaintance. If he didst not understand thee, could thou ride so effortlessly 'pon his back?

[She's always one for looking at the brighter side.]

[He makes a slight face, but he can't deny that.]

[Plus this is a first, learning about dresses, knights, and cloisters.]

We've hung around each other long enough to get to this point. It just started as an accident, really.

La, in any event he trusts thee truly. Tis some form of affection.

[What, he's behind about 100-200 years, this is all new to him!]

Sure does look like it. And feel. Literal feeling.

[As long as she doesn't have to explain to him about the whole demon thing. But that was only HER part of the 1300s.]

[At least their dragons aren't adept at soul-swallowing. Sheila clicks her tongue at Toothless.]

Sir dragon? Hast thou et thy fill?

[The dragon perks at the mention of fish, lifting his head finally as he eyes Hiccup expectantly.]

[He glances from Sheila to Toothless, sighing again as his shoulders slump.]

If you're looking at me like that, I guess not.

[She chuckles softly.]

I believe 'tis thy cue, Sir Hiccup.

I don't have much of a choice.

La, perhaps if he art distracted thy back shall have peace as well!

If I'm gonna be productive...

[He sets his stuff aside, shifting his posture as he stands.]

All right. I'll go feed him now.

I hope ye both receive what ye both wish!

[Which would be attention and peace of mind, apparently.]

[To have both is better to have none at all.

He laughs a little, waving as he starts walking off-screen, beckoning the eager blur of a dragon to follow. Into the kitchen they both go!]
