[Hiccup is busy. It's not often one gets to see him so engrossed in doing things. He appears to be threading something together, maybe even reinforcing the edge of the saddle that usually stays on the dragon's back. As a few more stitches are made, he stops, checking over his work.

It's not long before the Viking boy will find himself with company. A large black shape slinks in behind him, large green eyes glancing over at the NV-rock before the dragon peers over at Hiccup.

The boy doesn't appear to notice, muttering to himself as he goes back to sewing.

Toothless peers over his arm for a few seconds, then pulls back. It's not long before he does so again, this time having come around the other side.

Without looking up, Hiccup wrinkles his nose.]

Toothless– hey. What are you–

[Green eyes glance to one side, then the other.]

–I'm sorta in the middle of finishing this–

[Big green eyes stare at him a moment before Toothless pulls his head back again. Maybe he's leaving Hiccup alone to finish up?

Seconds pass as Hiccup blinks, checking either side once more. Although slightly puzzled, he eases himself back into his sewing.]

...Okay. Good boy.

[It's several minutes before the dragon reappears. This time he settles his chin over Hiccup's head. From here he watches a while, and it becomes apparent just how comfortable he's gotten as he yawns and closes his eyes.

And as Hiccup finds himself hunched under the weight of the dragon's head, he sighs. This makes sewing impossible.]

Oh. Wow. Well, there's still a lot of them back at home, and they're far from being extinct. And they range in size and shape. Toothless here is only one type of dragon among all of the others.

That's amazing! I always thought it would be incredible to ride on a dragon. I've got Naga, here, but she can't fly.

[Naga's large white face comes into the frame and she barks once before Korra reaches out to scratch her ear.]

I've ridden on a sky bison a few times, but I imagine that'd be pretty different from riding on a dragon.

[He tries leaning back, but, well, dragon weight. Raising his brow will do.]

Whoa, big dog! Ahhh...hey there, Naga.

And, well, riding a dragon's pretty tough. As odd as this sounds to me, how does a sky bison fly?

She's a polar bear-dog. She's been with me since we were both little.

I'd give you pointers if I knew anything about dragons. Sky bisons? They're the original airbenders. They don't have wings or anything; they control the air around them to fly.

For that long, huh? You two must be really close.

I think I'm still learning everything on dragons besides them being dangerous and all. [He blinks.] Airbender? So they float and somehow glide?

[benditlikekorra]

Yup! I found her when she was a cub and I raised her. Now we go basically everywhere together. She carries me around on her back.

Sky bisons don't glide, they fly. I wish I could demonstrate... They manipulate the air around their bodies to keep them in the air. It's pretty awesome.

Hmm. That sounds really neat...

But about that manipulation thing. I know, repetitive – but is that what the "Bending" part is?

Bending is being able to manipulate the elements using your chi. Water, earth, fire, air--each element has different forms and stances that you learn. Some people can bend water, or earth, or so on. Other people can't bend at all.

Oooh, okay. I never thought anyone could actually do stuff with the elements like that. Then again, being here sorta reminds you that this can happen.
